Timeless and beautiful

Loved this place. A very beautiful room and building, Staff very helpful. Its an old heritage building and so is full of history (rather then modern conveniences). Very different from the other rather bland places we stayed on our trip. We found it clean and comfortable- didn't mind the steep stairs- we're from a hilly place. Area is tucked away but we found it ok, and the streets pretty clean and quiet for Ahmedabad. Good to be supporting the regeneration of these lovely buildings in the old city.

Wonderful stay. Best place to stay

Amazing stay, rooms are clean and cozy, Bansi bhaiya and Deepak bhaiya are very helpful, feels like a home away from home.

The room offered was no where close to the photographs shown on booking website.
The location is also not convenient. The old ancient time property.
Room offered was on 2nd floor. No lift and staircase steps are very small and dangerous.
Linen was not clean and of poor quality.
No TV, No Hot Water Kettle, No Table and Chair in the room.
The room layout is also inconvenient.
No food service for last minute emergency.
The numbers given on website are not reachable.
Does not found the place safe, convenient and friendly.
Uneducated and very less staff.
Overall experience was very bad and left the property in hurry within 15 mins. from the check in.

IT IS VERY AUTHENTIC HOTEL. BUT NOT DIRTY AND WELL CLEAN. STAFF ARE VERY KIND. YOU CAN SEE OLD INDIAN DREAM !

Mixed experience

Overall we were disappointed with this stay. The property is charming but the photos show it to be brighter and cleaner than the reality which was disappointing.
The person in charge is incredibly nice and works hard to please and accommodate but the place itself needs some attention.
We booked two rooms. One for a couple and one for our adult daughter. The daughters room right next to the front door did not have a lock on it and that for us was unacceptable and we draw the line on using that room when the solution (from the owner) was to get a chain to secure her in! The manager found an extra bed and we moved her in with us.
Our other room, the Heritage suite, is nice and the bed linen ok. The room was remarkably quiet being on the top floor, the same could not be said for our daughters room being near the entrance. The breakfast is simple but nice
The laundry was efficiently and well done.
The towels need replacing - they feel well below standard. The shower curtain was dirty and needs replacing. If using a bank card, instead of cash, there is a surcharge to pay of Rupees 500.
It feels like it has a lot of potential as it’s an interesting property with a lot of charm but it needs some attention to the points above.
