Slice of Peace in Vagamon’s Tea Gardens
The property itself is gorgeous, right in the middle of Vagamon’s tea gardens, so you literally wake up to misty hills and green everywhere. Just sitting outside with a cup of tea in the morning felt so peaceful.
But what really made the trip was the people. The hosts and staff were SO friendly, like genuinely warm and welcoming, not the usual polite-but-distant hotel vibe. They made us feel so at home, always checking in, always smiling, always ready to help with anything.
A special shoutout to Rajesh! He went above and beyond helping us plan out all the tourist spots around Vagamon, gave us such good recommendations, and kept checking in on us throughout the stay to make sure we were happy and having a good time. That kind of care really stays with you
And can we talk about the food?? Every meal was delicious, but breakfast was next level especially the pazhakanji. It reminded me of home-cooked food, so comforting and full of flavor. Honestly one of the best breakfasts I’ve had at a resort.

Beautiful Vibe and Exceptional Staff
The absolute highlight is the hardworking staff, who show a remarkable ownership mentality.
A huge shoutout to Harshana! My mother is diabetic and needed specific off-menu food options. While initially told it wasn't possible, Harshana understood our genuine need, bent the rules, and made it happen. My parents absolutely adored her.
However, there are a few management-level issues to be aware of:
Air Conditioning: Not all rooms have AC. For a luxury property, this needs to be explicitly stated during booking (pro-tip: call ahead to verify!).
Slow Food Service: The food is great, but it often takes 40+ minutes to arrive at the table.
Property Upkeep: The amenities are decent but are definitely due for a refresh.
To be clear, these are management oversights, not staff issues. Despite the hiccups, I would absolutely come back for the beautiful location and the incredible hospitality.
