Good hotel

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Royal Castle, Gulmarg. A special appreciation to Mr. Muntazir Bhat, Restaurant Manager, for his exceptional hospitality and professionalism.
He is extremely humble, polite, attentive, and genuinely caring towards guests. His warm attitude and attention to every detail made our dining experience truly memorable. The food, service, and overall ambience were excellent.
Mr. Muntazir’s dedication to guest satisfaction reflects the high standards of Hotel Royal Castle. A big thank you to him and the entire restaurant team for making our visit so specialNice experience,nice food , hotels and restaurant are very nice

Pathetic experience

Our stay at Royal Castle Gulmarg was the most disappointing part of our Kashmir trip.
The hotel is marketed as a higher-category property, but our experience was nowhere close to that standard.
- There was a power outage for nearly 4–5 hours during the night, leaving the rooms and corridors in complete darkness. Despite repeated requests from guests, the staff arrogantly ignored requests to switch on the generator, causing immense inconvenience.
- Although a buffet was promised for both dinner and breakfast, only a few limited dishes were served. The food was tasteless, poorly presented, and hygiene standards were disappointing.
- The overall service lacked professionalism, and the staff showed little concern for guest comfort or complaints.
- The maintenance and hospitality standards were well below expectations and certainly did not justify the hotel's claimed category.
Gulmarg is a beautiful destination, but staying at this hotel significantly affected our overall experience. I sincerely hope the management improves its guest service, power backup arrangements, food quality, and staff attitude.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting the standards of a genuine 4-star property.

We had an excellent experience at Royal Castle. The level of hospitality and service was exceptional throughout our visit. A special appreciation goes to Mr. Muntazir Bhat, F&B Executive, for his outstanding professionalism, attention to detail, and personalized care, which made our experience truly memorable. We would also like to acknowledge his associates for their courteous, efficient, and well-coordinated service. Their dedication to guest satisfaction reflects the high standards of the establishment. We sincerely appreciate the entire team's efforts and look forward to visiting again.
