Best guest house
Best accomodation,Best facilities,food is very tasty ,rooms are very clean ,owner of this guest house is very sweet .she is very caring towards girls .this guest house is very safe for girls . We enjoyed alot . thanku for best stay

Good homestay in bharatpur
Very comfortable and value for money stay indeed . Best part of stay is home cooked food .owner of spoonbill GuestHouse is very nice polite welcoming person . Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here looking forward to visit again In future for sure .

Good hotel, great food and great hospitality
New Spoonbill is a mid range hotel. Its neat and clean and have all the basic amenities, although not a very high end ones. Hot water 24 hours in the cold weather was a great comfort. Clean toilets.
The hotel is owned by Mr. Heman Kumar. He along with his wife and father are involved in running the show. They are very good people. Great hospitality and high desire to make the guests comfortable and happy. Bhabhijee is a very good cook and the food is extremely tasty may it be breakfast, lunch as well as dinner. His father, Babujee is 83 years young and running strong. Very humble person. Hemant Kumar is full of lots of information and is very resourceful too.
For a couple of days we went to Bharatpur Park at 6.30 a.m. in the morning. She ensured that we get to carry packed breakfast so that we can eat it whenever we feel hungry. We used to be in he park till evening, but we used to order packed lunch from the hotel itself. The lunch provided was excellent; eating it in the nature surrounded by cool breeze, lakes, lush green trees and lots of birds was an experience that can't be described in words. I have rarely eaten such a tasty packed lunch! Hats off to Bhabhijee. Dinner was equally tasty too.
I liked the hotel and will definitely visit again during my next trip to Bharatpur.

Safe parking space, unnecessary details sought
Clean place. Parking space for 2 cars inside the gate. No outside / garden space so you and the kids are pretty much indoors. Food is nice, but it is sold with a lot of push and you need to be able to say no at times. Most strange thing for me was the entries in the register - for 'official reasons', you need to enter your religion, job details, age and community - and you get questioned if you do not make all the entries. I never saw that anywhere else.

Homely comfort.
My wife & I stayed in the new spoonbill for a week, Feb 2019. Our room on the 1st floor was spacious, with large cupboard/wardrobe space, 2 chairs & coffee table, hot water for shower and door onto a balcony with 2 more.
Like another guest our train was delayed & we arrived very late, but Mr Singh walked to the crossroads in his pyjamas & dressing gown to direct us. Renu his daughter in law saw to our every comfort & also cooked excellent meals for us, also supplying us with sandwiches to take to Keolodeo Sanctuary - which was only a 10 minute walk away or 3 mins. in tuk tuk. Re. the Sanctuary. Felt a little grieved that, as usual entrance to the bird Sanctuary was Rs75 but for foreigners, Rs500 , each day cost us Rs1000 and no 3 or 7 day cheaper tickets,
We used Pritam & his cycle rickshaw (Rs150 per hour). Excellent knowledge of all the birds in the park & where to find them. So much so that we had no need for a guide (would have been an additional Rs250 per hour). Used Pritam for two days then had a couple of days just walking by ourselves. Small birds though were few & far between compared with our last visit 5 years ago. We agreed with Pritam that this is due to mobile phone masts being installed, not just in India but world wide.
