Second home

Excellent location, close to the beach, US Consulate and city center. Warm and hospitable staff from the General Manager Ila to the doorman. Easily has the best breakfast buffet spreads, not only expansive but delicious and with attentive and knowledgeable staff like Keith. As soon as you enter you get enveloped with a warm welcoming hug and I am not talking about the Chennai heat. The hotel is spotless and well appointed considering it is the group’s oldest hotel. Kudos to the GM and her well trained staff including Brinda & Merly. We always have an excellent stay here.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past but not very recently. The renovated "club" room in which I stayed this time is very well done. The layout of the room is more or less as it was before the renovation. That was always very spacious; almost a suite. But now everything is fresh and looking new. That room, facing the back was very quiet too. Overall I enjoyed the stay and will return.

It’s a great location. I stayed there as a female solo traveller and it was very safe. I think what stood out to me most was the customer service I received from the moment I walked in. Bala and Meryl at front desk were very professional and took care of any of my needs well. Everyone from the bellboy, cleaners to kitchen staff all upheld an outstanding standard for service.
