Stay at home outside own home.
I am a regular visitor due to my son's education. Since 2018 I stayed regularly in this hotel. Hospitality is outstanding. Very close to Dehradun Railway Station. Hotel is safe and secured. Highly recommend to stay here. Moreover Mr Sumit Singh, the owner is very helpful.

Quality & Service
Avoidable at best, unless there is no way out to spend a night. Their so called deluxe queen room is just not upto the mark.
The room is cramped, barely any furniture other than a bed, the TV is too small, bathrooms are lacking upkeep - a simple thing as bathing stool was not available.
More hype online than the actual services offered.

Pick the AC room
I stayed twice at this hotel. The only reason being that it is very close to the Dehradun Railway Station.
This property is in a commercial complex (with shops below) on Gandhi road. There are about three similar hotels in this building.
My first stay was in room no 105. This was an AC room. Room was very clean. Bathroom was really neat with new fittings and the Geyser provided piping hot water within minutes. This was really good. I would rate this room 'Excellent'.
The next time, i chose a non-AC room and stayed in room no 114. Room was OK. Bathroom was not up to the mark. I would give this an 'average' rating.
So i would recommend the AC room. It is about Rs. 250 more than the non-AC. But it is way better....
Reception was manned 24x7 and they were very polite and efficient.
I could not avail the complementary breakfast on both occasions.

Educated illiterate!!
Well, like everything on booking dot com, this hotel has been showed as something an is something else. There are three different hotels on three different floors of this building!!! We booked it online with booking dot com and on arrival was told our room type was full and had to pay extra for an upgrade. My wife and me, we both work in the hospitality business and she is from the UK and no matter how tired she may be, she will not bend as a matter of principles. We left the hotel by the manager telling us, "that's your problem" when I told him I know the guys running booking dot com website and it happens all the time with them" again, that's your problem??? Hahahaha. Anyway, don't touch his or this property with a ten foot pole. We travel for 5 or 6 months every year, year after year and never have we had an up tight response from a well spoken well versed reasonable looking guy ever!!

1. Sir we will appreciate if you share the complete picture, as explained to & show to you several email & phone call were made to you regarding confirmation of your booking which went un answered. Also you were shown email sent to booking .com for cancelation (Reason Guest not responding).
2. Manager did not enter into any argument and only to accommodate said that we can give you a alternate room since we are sold out, to which you said that why the hotel has not blocked the room and the manager responded that we only block room.
• When we get reservation amount.
• And confirmation from guest.
Also sir how can the Hotel hold room for Guest till 7 pm On a busy weekend without the guest responding. And we feel your review & assessment based on this is UN-Fair. Also your Booking website has also confirmed to receipt of cancellation Email from property (reason guest not responding).
We appreciate that as you say you are a’ man of principles & rules ‘, we at hotel Abhinandan Grand also feel we are a property management on rules & principles .

Unpleasant Experience
We booked this hotel as it was near railway station and we had some official work to do but are really disappointed with the service provided. We were three but they offered us a very small room. Also, the water in loo was not continuously available plus the water quality was bad. We ordered some food but they delivered it after 1 hour, same goes with the water bottle and extra bedsheet. The service is so delayed that it feels like ages. They really need work on cleanliness part as well as the bed-sheets provided were not clean they had stains.
PS: The whole building (Luxmi Plaza) is so substandard with poop all over on the stairs and hallways that no one would be okay but instead puke. Not recommended at all.

Madam we thank you for your stay with us , but will like to clarify that serving the food only took 30-45 min which we have clearly mentioned on the menu that it will take that much time, also madam we are a budget hotel and size of the room app 200sft is clearly mentioned on the booking website . Madam all policy & services are clearly mentioned on the booking website and it also helps the hotel if the guest understand what to expect and what not to expect ., but problem for hotel & guest arises when guest wants services which a Budget hotel can not provide.
