Presenting a boat-shaped main building, The Byke Old Anchor - A Beach Front Resort With River Attached is just 591 feet from the sandy shores of Cavelossim Beach in beautiful Goa. It has an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and free parking. The property has Arabian Sea on one side and the Backwater River Sal on the other. Fitted with tiled flooring, the air-conditioned rooms have a private balcony with views of the pool or sea. Each comes equipped with hot water showers, a cable TV and tea/coffee making facilities.Extras include free toiletries. The Byke Old Anchor - A Beach Front Resort With River Attached is 22 mi from Goa Dabolim Airport and 9.3 mi from Madgaon Railway Station. Varca, Benaulim and Colva Beaches are about 6.2 mi from the resort. Guests may arrange day trips at the tour desk, or enjoy water sports activities like parasailing and water skiing by the beach. The resort also provides a fitness center and car rental services. Rancho Restaurant serves a daily pure vegetarian buffet breakfast and international dishes. Drinks can be enjoyed at Bar, Beach Shack or Pool Side Bar.

Very simple, not nice, unkempt facility, staff not friendly to guests.
- the staff on reception, not very friendly, asked for voucher from Booking
- did not changed money for taxi
- outdated room equipment, air conditioning, doors, walls dirty, in washroom is leaking water
- renovation urgently need!
- towels at the time of check in not there
- batteries for AC remote empty
- Wifi only at the reception, voucher for wifi needed
- breakfast only vegetarian (very simple)
On the other hand, you can spend, for a low cost the time here and have great experience of ocean, sand beaches, food in the city or on the beach and sun shine.

Not good
1. It's a resort spread over a few acres. The reception is also very big.
2. They only have individual villas & spread over multiple lanes.
3. Lot of place to walk around.
Cons:
1. Wifi works only in the reception, not in any other part of the hotel.
2. Rooms had sand on the floor & it hadn't been cleaned properly.
3. They have wooden flooring which has worn out. They have stuck the planks with tape in some spots & planks have loosened in some spots.
4. Bathrooms need urgent renovation, all fixtures are old / dysfunctional, did not feel comfortable to use it. I was so uncomfortable with the bathroom that I did not take bath while at the hotel. After we checked into the other hotel with a longer stay, I took bath late in the day.
5. Breakfast options were limited & not appetizing at all.
