Food review
The food is really good and the apple juice was really tasty. The view of the restaurant is also very amazing.
Maggi can be better but definitely worth visiting the place. Pakoras were also very tasty

Worst exp - Was provided room in another hotel despite booking a month before with adv. payment

Reservation exp - Had to call multiple times and sending reminders on mail for acknowledgment of advance payment which I received after 2-3 weeks
Check-in Exp. , Felt cheated- First a hotel staff, Surjeet was trying to give us a std. room before cleaning area While I had booked deluxe room. On confronting this to manager Gaurav, I with my wife and kids were provided room in another close by under construction, no restaurant, no waiter, poor lighted and isolated/ghost hotel "Kharba Villa" instead of lake view hotel( they claim it is also their hotel) where I had booking. They had actually given preference to on the spot booking for a group that wanted 3 rooms and didn't bother to honour advance booking I had made. On top of that, Mr. Gaurav kept on arguing and making video, rather than even asking for a glass of water after long trip I had. A'way I had to stay in the provided hotel and room as I had family with me and had no other choice at late evening. We felt heated by the hotel. Tried to approach, Mr. Ranjeet but he seemed unavailable so I am not sure such bad practice/fraud was with or without the consent of the hotel owner.
Approach road - Go with the risk of damaging vehicle. Never came across such a bad approach road to the hotel. Apart from unpaved with stones, a patch of road was bifurcated like during washing or under car repair mechanic has to put car on a ramp with under lane to check under car. Had my engine cover damaged despite the help/guide provided by the hotel. I drove on very bad roads like Mudh village, Chicham village but this was the worst road. Would suggest to book a road side hotel for peace of mind and to avoid possible damage to your vehicle. Trust me, it's not worth just for the sake of lake view, which is more like a pond rather than calling it a lake.
Food - No comment as I didn't have it there due to bad check-in exp. despite having MAP plan. Hotel also didn't charge for the food.
It's not about the money but the trust, business ethics and professionalism which seemed to be totally missing here. Manager Gaurav seems to be more arrogant ready to return the adv. payment rather than being sorry or apologetic for such deliberate act unprofessionalism, not providing us the room in lake view hotel despite booking and adv payment more than a month ago. This is a bad practice adopted by some cheap hotels to get more booking on known hotel name despite having less rooms and then giving another hotel when you reach there and you have no other option.
You can't do much at the last moment except alerting fellow travellers and bringing this in to Himachal tourism ministry notice.
I am writing this for fellow travellers to avoid getting cheated, last minute surprise/mental harassment, embarrassment before your accompanying family member/friends and getting the trip spoiled like mine.

Enjoyed my stay
The hotel is located just next to the lake. There is a very narrow road to reach the hotel from main Nako market (just 2 min drive). Parking space is available. Rooms are spacious and hygienic. There are no TVs in the room, but that was not at all a problem. The food and service were good. The management were very helpful. Stayed for 3 nights in July 2021 with my friends and absolutely loved the stay. Will definitely recommend to others.

I can't recommend this place enough
We stayed here for one night on our tour across Spiti. We were extremely pleased with the customer centricity exhibited by the team managing this hotel. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. The rooms were pleasant and the food was good. What really impressed us with this place was their level of honesty and integrity. After we left Nako and travelled to our next stop, my friend realized to that she had left her bag there which contained a Mac and my super expensive noise cancellation headphones. We panicked and called the hotel and spoke to the management. They not only found our bags but when the bag was picked up, not one thing had moved from the bag. All of the valuables were returned intact! They also refused to take a small reward. They said that it was their duty. This establishment and its team deserves accolades and I am happy to lay it on. You have won an admirer for life
