Royal ritz , nothing royal about my experience, if you stay Saturday you be warned.
We were given a suite on the 3rd floor that was large , clean had a slight mustard / damp smell which was fine as only 1 night .
At 11.30pm my wife and me wondered to our room after a very long stay . To our horror the noise from above was boom, boom and boom. So I ventured upstairs and to my surprise it was a night club a very busy night club . I was advised it would close at 12.30am so decided we could tolerate it for a bit longer . 12.30 came and went , 3 phone calls to reception I was basically fogged off and lied to it was being dealt with by management and it would close asap.
So I wondered down to reception where the reception team just laughed at me and said it will shut when the last guest leaves or they can move me at 1.00am to another room.
I gave them a piece of my mind and decided best not to cause a scene at a wedding . The music finished well after 1.30am. Boring we had to be up at 8.00 Sunday for the wedding.
Spoke to the manger the following morning and expressed my anger and disgust at my experience as a guest and customer. He seemed genuinely upset and apologised but the damage had been done as Sunday morning . Hence o gave it 2 stars rather than 1.
Staff need more training in every department just slow and not interested in providing a positive experience . Rooms need a touch of paint and refresh get rid of the smell noting suite .
Travelling India 25 years and it was the worst experience for sleep and attitude of certain staff . Note this is well away walking distance from any shops bars and restaurants.
