An outstanding, unique and beautiful stay, right in the heart of Jaipur
This was a truly unique experience in the heart of the bustling city.
The service, the surroundings, the attention to detail, the beauty and the quality of this place are nearly unrivalled.
We stayed in the Princess of Wales Suite which was a beautiful room where Princess Diana had stayed years ago.
We had breakfast on the lawn, dinner in the pink room and lunch in the Collonade - all meals were superb and well executed.
Menu is thorough and quality, mixing Indian and International options.
The pool and the gardens are so tranquil - just a really pleasant place to be - the only noise you will hear are the roaming peacocks - shutting out the sounds of the city nearby, even being right in the city centre.
Shout out to several stand out team members - Vivek, Sumit and another tall chap at breakfast whose name we did not catch, along with Paladkait at the pool. Service at its very best.
Oh and just a tip - if you book directly with the hotel you get a complimentary tour of the City Palace, with private access included!
We would wholly recommend this hotel as the perfect stay during a Jaipur trip

I had the privilege of spending three nights at Rajmahal Palace during my visit to India, and it was easily one of the highlights of my trip. I stayed at several well known hotels during my overall trip, but Rajmahal is the one I’ll remember most. Simplest way to describe it is: aesthetic, peaceful, royal oasis outside the business of Jaipur.
From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel genuinely welcome. The check-in felt personal, the staff were incredibly attentive, and every interaction felt sincere.
The palace itself is stunning. Everywhere you look there’s another beautiful room, courtyard, or thoughtful detail. It’s also exceptionally clean, felt very safe throughout my stay, and is conveniently located just a short drive from most of the places you’ll probably want to visit while exploring Jaipur.
The food was wonderful, I was introduced to puri bhaji, which quickly became one of my favorite breakfasts during my stay.
Beautiful hotels are easy to find. What makes a place memorable is the people, and that’s exactly what Rajmahal Palace gave me. Thank you for making my time in Jaipur so special.

Transporting
Urban oasis that transports you out of the city and into a different time and place. Beautiful rooms, cool bar and fabulous restaurant. Senior staff accommodated some special requests and communicated well. Tennis on the grass was a novelty but not super well maintained. Lovely grounds (peacocks everywhere) and acreage that’s hard to believe in a city. Small size makes you feel like they know you’re there. Highly recommend - not cheap but excellent value.

A unique experience in a beautiful and historic palace

We continued our journey with the RASS group of hotels at the Rajmahal Palace, and what a special place it is. This feels like a home rather than a hotel — steeped in history and once used as a residence by royalty and numerous dignitaries over the decades. Photographs throughout the property capture a bygone era, including the visit of the Queen and Prince Philip in 1967, who stayed in this very palace.
The spa experience was wonderful, although I did miss the Ayurvedic treatments that were available at RASS Jodhpur, which are not currently offered here.
Everything is immaculately maintained, and the staff are exceptional. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they genuinely make you feel like royalty throughout your stay.
Dining is outstanding. The multi-cuisine menu offers real variety, and both the food and service are on another level compared to other five-star hotels we’ve experienced. A special thanks to Sumit and Manish for their care and attention, and to the chefs for creating such delicious and complex flavours.
Bahrti, the wonderful lady manager, was flawless in her help with any request and ensured everything was arranged seamlessly.
A particular highlight was a special visit arranged by the hotel to see inside the King’s Palace — something only possible with a letter through the residence. It was a truly insightful and worthwhile experience. We also visited Amber Palace, which simply has to be seen to be believed, with everything organised perfectly by the hotel.
This is a genuinely unique and special place — a one-of-a-kind experience where you are immersed in history while being cared for by an exceptionally warm and talented team. I can only encourage others to book and experience a true slice of history paired with outstanding service.
We are now heading to the Oberoi in Udaipur, which looks fantastic — though after such wonderful stays at two RASS properties, I can’t help but wonder if the RASS in Udaipur might have been the better choice. We will definitely be back.
