Overall a good stay
I recently stayed at Hotel Samrat in Taliparamba primarily to visit the Raja Rajeshwara Temple, which is conveniently located about 2 kilometers away. While the hotel served its purpose as a base for our temple visit, I must say it left much to be desired in other aspects.
Location and Accessibility: One of the hotel's main advantages is its proximity to the Raja Rajeshwara Temple. You can easily find autos right outside the hotel, making it convenient for traveller’s. The auto charges approximately 30-40Rs for a ride to the temple, which is reasonable. However, it's worth noting that the hotel lacks adequate parking space, which could be a concern for those traveling by their vehicles.
Accommodation: The rooms at Hotel Samrat are passable but nothing extraordinary. While they provide decent facilities , One significant issue we encountered was with the room locks. Our door lock was malfunctioning, failing to secure the room properly. However , after reporting they quickly changed the room. I would strongly advise future guests to double-check their room locks before leaving to ensure their belongings are safe.
Dining: On a brighter note, the food served at the hotel's restaurant was quite satisfactory. We enjoyed a few meals during our stay, and the menu offered a decent limited variety of dishes that were both tasty and reasonably priced. Access to the roof top was restricted due to some work in progress.
Additional Facilities: For those interested, the hotel is attached to a bar, which might be a plus for some traveller’s.
