A true gem in Marayoor – a home away from home!
I stayed at Mud House Marayoor from 29th May to 1st June, and it was an unforgettable experience. This place is truly a hidden gem in Marayoor. Whether you want to explore the river trail or the jungle trail, you can choose the adventure that suits you best.
I was a bit hesitant to travel because I was dealing with a kidney stone issue, but Lubana's guidance and reassurance gave me the confidence to visit Marayoor, and I'm so glad I did.
A special thanks to the wonderful team who made my stay so memorable. Embelly was fantastic—always cheerful, incredibly helpful, and available whenever I needed anything. Kanni delighted me with delicious, home-style food throughout my stay, and Jina Mol provided an outstanding spa experience that was both relaxing and rejuvenating.
The warmth, hospitality, and peaceful atmosphere truly made this feel like a home away from home. I highly recommend Mud House Marayoor to anyone looking for a unique nature retreat with exceptional hospitality. I can't wait to visit again!

Spectacular location, service and setting
What a special place. The gardens are so stunning and beautifully attended, and the back drop of the mountains was breathtaking. We felt like we were living in a painting. All the staff were delightful and friendly - the manager, Ambilly, is so lovely and full of energy. The food was exceptional. The rooms, kitchen and communal areas were all pristine and calm. This level of service and luxury, in a location this remote and beautiful, is truly magical.

Perfect place to escape your ordinary
This was my third visit, First with my partner, second time with my friends and then with my parents. I can't wait to go back. I love everything about the mud house, the backdrop so perfect, you get naturally relaxed. Staffs are kind and food is delicious.
Can't mention enough the warmth we received from here. Mostly, I miss waking up to the bird songs.
Each corner was thoughtfully designed, without disturbing the nature and its being. I love it when property is true to being eco friendly and sustainable.
Rooms were kept so well and clean, even though taking care of these mud houses can be so difficult. Each corner was so beautiful.
We took the days slow and doing nothing, few times we went for hikes and walk around the neighbourhood.
This is a paradise where you can disconnect from your chaotic world to connect with yourself.

A home away from home
Simply put it. It’s bliss. It’s my home away from home and the beautiful souls at The Mudhouse Maryoor are my family away from home. I have stayed in each of their abodes - from their (tree house) Erumadam to Griha to Harini n few others. Every experience has been unique and beautiful in its own way but what’s special about this sustainable stay is its host the Akkaas (sisters), their awesome manager Ambali, their Chef and few others who’s names I can’t remember but faces I can never forget. The other big highlight of the stay is an unmissable conversation with the Owner of The Mudhouse Marayoor (Deepak) about the story behind this heaven, of how it all came to life. It’s worth it over some Gin or wine and Offcourse his dog Osaka and it’s 3 babies, you have to meet them all. I recommend going there when the weather is good and forget your teams n zoom n MacBooks n phones… just soak it in. It’s truly beautiful and so are the walks and the treks and the rides around.

Highly recommend this beautiful pace.
In one word: FANTASTIC!!!! My wife and I stayed at the Mudhouse for 4 nights. The staff is amazing. Big thank you to Ambili and Kanic. So friendly and caring. The place is so peaceful and relaxing. The food was really good and varied. We stayed in the Tree House which was beautiful and quirky. Well kitted out with a relaxing outdoor shower room.The drive to the Mudhouse was beautiful with all the tea plantations. The camp fire in the evening was a nice way to meet people if that’s what you want to do. Met loads of very nice people. The gardens are beautiful and everything is really clean. My wife and I highly recommend this pace to relax and chill.
