Clean hotel, good location

This hotel was very clean, the room was very clean and also the public area.
The room itself was quite old fashioned and with old furniture, but at least it was clean
There was a ceiling fan but no Air Con
No kettle
No safe
No Fridge
The towels were very nice and fluffy!

Not the first choice

It is located right in centre of city. Locations like elephant junction, massage centres, Kathakali shows , Kalaripayattu shows and market , everything is at walkable distance. It has a good North Indian restaurant right across the street. The rooms were ok not great, especially I did not find it worth for what we paid for. I had one bad experience with the staff where I wanted him to change my used towel with a fresh one and he just did not agree for it. Also there were no celebrations for new year which was little disappointing.
It has car parking space.
Breakfast was not included in our package.

Perfect budget hotel

We were a group of 16 people. Our trip plan was very short notice and we enquired many 4 star resorts and hotels and resorts to get rooms. But all those were full. Luckily Michael's Inn had rooms. I was a little concerned about the accomodation still. But all my concern were because of my under estimation about this property. But i was proved wrong when we reached the hotel. The hotel and rooms were simple, clean and good. All the family members told the stay was great. A big thanks to Chayichan , the manager of the property. Dinner was Ala carte. It was average. Breakfast , though the items are less, all were great. It's perfect for people planning to have a travel in that day after breakfast. It is perfect for those who just need to take rest or a good night's sleep during a tour. Overall it was a very good experience. Also, it is just walkable distance from periyar tiger reserve. Thanks to the team...

Average experience

Stayed here for two days; Booked through go ibibo. Large and spacious room which had the limited and low quality toiletries as per it's tariff which we paid for.No second day housekeeping service which may the reason of either cost control or they can't get in the room without the guest permission (we didn't asked for hk service). The mattress is spring made ;It may not be comfortable for some people. The room curtains are not light resistant. Interior design is very old style as the bed table side doesn't have power sockets for charging mobiles. Overall experience is average.

Secure your valuables

Stayed here one night on a G Adventures tour.
Negatives: A sign on the back of the door warning of keeping windows shut to keep the monkeys out. Turns out it's not the monkeys you have to watch out for! A couple in the group decided to go for a massage, got asked their room number returned to find money missing. Make sure you lock away your valuables in your case.
A feeling you are not trusted as customers - only place (in two weeks) we got asked to pay up front for the breakfast.
Lots of mosquitoes in the stairwells
Positives: Clean room, close to the bus to the lake, close to the martial arts centre
