Along with a full-service spa, this hotel has an indoor pool and a restaurant. Free WiFi in public areas and free valet parking are also provided. Additionally, massage/treatment rooms, a business center, and a meeting room are onsite. Hotel Mount Regency offers 28 accommodations with complimentary newspapers and complimentary bottled water. Rooms open to balconies or patios. Accommodations offer separate sitting areas and include desks. Beds feature premium bedding. Guests can make use of the in-room refrigerators and coffee/tea makers. ⭐☆☆☆☆ 1/5 – Extremely Disappointing Stay at Mount Regency, Mount Abu
I rarely write negative reviews, but after my experience at Mount Regency, Mount Abu, I feel it is important to share it so that other travelers can make an informed decision before booking.
I stayed at this hotel with my family and paid approximately ₹6,500 for one night. At this price, I expected at least basic hospitality and decent service. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing from the moment I checked in.
When I entered the room, several essential amenities were missing. There were no slippers, no dental kit, and no basic room supplies. The air conditioner was not cooling properly, and the television wasn’t working at all. I had to make separate calls to reception just to get the AC checked and another call to get the TV fixed.
The bathroom was in even worse condition. There were no bathroom slippers, the exhaust fan was not working, and the toilet was dirty and poorly maintained. The water pressure in the shower and taps was extremely weak, making it very inconvenient to use. Overall, the room cleanliness was far below acceptable standards.
The room service was one of the biggest disappointments. Every time I requested something, it took 30 minutes to an hour to arrive, and in many cases, I had to call the reception, housekeeping, or room service two or three times before anyone responded. This level of service is simply unacceptable for a hotel charging premium rates.
The room itself was missing several basic facilities. There was no mini refrigerator. Although an electric kettle was provided, there were no tea/coffee supplies. Sometimes there was a kettle but no cups. There was a water jug but no glasses, and even drinking water bottles were not properly provided. It felt like every basic necessity was incomplete.
Breakfast was another major disappointment. I went for breakfast around 10:00 AM, expecting a decent buffet, but there were only two or three food options available, such as paratha, idli, and curd. That was almost everything. There was only one juice available, a mango juice that looked heavily artificial due to the excessive food coloring. The breakfast spread was extremely limited and nowhere near the standard expected from a hotel in this price range.
What made the experience even worse was the staff’s behavior. The service was slow, and the staff was neither attentive nor professional. As a guest, I did not feel welcomed or valued.
I traveled with my family hoping for a comfortable and memorable vacation, but unfortunately, this hotel completely spoiled our experience. Spending ₹6,500 for such poor facilities and service felt like a complete waste of money.
My sincere advice to anyone planning a trip to Mount Abu is: please read recent online reviews carefully before booking any hotel. Don’t rely only on the pictures or descriptions. A family vacation is meant to be enjoyable, and accommodation plays a huge role in that experience.
Finally, I would request the owner and management of Mount Regency to seriously improve their services, cleanliness, maintenance, staff training, and guest experience. If you cannot provide the level of service expected, then charging premium prices is simply not justified.
Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. I genuinely hope the management takes guest feedback seriously and makes significant improvements in the future.
