Some Small Details That Made a Difference

I had heard really good things about Bloom Hotels, so I was looking forward to my stay at Bloom Worli. Unfortunately, a few things during my stay gave me a slightly different impression.
At check-in, the staff member remained seated and there was hardly any eye contact. I personally feel that simply standing up, looking at the guest and speaking warmly makes a big difference in hospitality.
I also found a fairly large mosquito in my room. I managed to catch it and handed it over to the Front Office, though I wish I had been able to click a picture.
At breakfast, I ordered a dal paratha, but it was quite hard and I could not really see or feel the dal. I understand the dal is mixed into the atta, but if the dal was more evident, I think the paratha would have been much better. When I asked for a fresh one, the senior staff member said, “Ye fresh hi hain,” and walked away. Later, when he saw me taking a picture, he came over and said, “Ma’am, aap naraz ho gayi? Fresh bana dete hain.” I appreciated that he was willing to make another one, but I feel the concern could have been handled a little more warmly from the start.
I also ordered a plain cheese omelette but received a masala cheese omelette. The senior staff member said he had asked for plain and offered to get another one, which was fine, but the interaction again could have been a little warmer.
These may seem like small things, but in hospitality, small gestures make a big difference. I hope Bloom takes this feedback positively because I genuinely expected a better experience based on what I had heard about the brand.

Rooms OK but some windowless; beware spurious cancellation

I arrived 10pm and was told my reservation was cancelled. They claimed that I should have replied to messages sent earlier in the day to re-confirm, but I was in transit and did not have connectivity to do that; no mention was made in my original booking of the need to re-confirm. I insisted, and suddenly a room was made available, albeit looking out on a blank wall and passage with staff walking past. My colleague, arriving much earlier, was offered a room with no window at all, until she protested and was given one with a proper view. The rooms themselves are small but well equipped and clean; the wifi is good and the text-based system for requests (eg free shoe cleaner) works well. Breakfast is OK but slightly pricey for what it is. There is an excellent vegan cafe a dew doors down, and the Nehru science museum is a short walk.

Worst Bloom property

I have been to several other bloom property but this one is the worst. Highly arrogant and rude staff, basic hygiene is missing. The carpet of the main lobby near reception is dirty like anything. No one was there at reception for good 20 minutes.
