Amazing views of Kanchenjunga peaks

I stayed at Magpie Pachu in May 2025 and it is one of the finest resort property in Pelling. The rooms are spacious and the overall property ambience is quite good. The location is a bit offbeat and away from local market, however the resort area is big enough to explore for a 1 or 2 night stay. The views from the property are amazing as you cab clearly see Kanchenjunga peaks when the sky is clear. There's a possibility that you might to get up early during the monsoon season to witness amazing views of Kanchenjunga, but October to March are the best time to be there. The service was also good and they were quick to respond everytime. As it's a hilly area and no elevators, you will have to walk a bit to reach your rooms but yet the housekeeping team were quick in their services. Lastly, the food was also good, however it also offers non-veg food so we preferred to order our dinners in our rooms and the restaurant service was also commandable.

Excellent staff. But there are many hotels providing similar views.

Good hotel. Room is good but it's not like any modern hotel with similar prices. Most important it is excellent location to view Kanchenjunga. But value for money? It's overpriced. The breakfast is hardly anything. Most it will be total of 7/8 items. And the sleep could be difficult if one is light sleeper. Pet dog's sometime keep barking continuously during the night.

Awesome view from the cottage balcony.

Although we overexpected from this property but still our stay here was reasonably good because of awesome views from our cottage balcony.
We were provided with a huge cottage/room with a balcony overlooking Kanchanjunga peak in the range of mountains. On a clear day we saw the magnificent and mesmerising view of the mountain range and the peak early morning and what a sight it was!
Breakfast was so-so but palatable. Services were quite alright.
Power outages were common but their in-house generator kept one of the room lights on. Room heater was provided complimentary.

One ofthe best resort hotels in Pelling

The room provided was excellent with a clear view of Mount Kanchenjunga. The staff was very professional and fulfilled my every demand. so Yesterday itself they asked if i need some food to carry with me on my way to Bagdogra Airport as I was to check out today morning at 5 AM This is called Pro activeness and extreme professionalism of the hotel staff. I would like to visit their other resorts as well in the future
