Surprisingly Good

The hotel is very nice made, both the lobby side and also the pool side. It is made in an old architectural design way back in the 80's it seems. But, they have redone and Super Deluxe rooms above the lobby area are very good. Very spacious rooms with high ceiling, coffee & tea maker, nice writing table with chair, 2 sofa seats, a set of cupboards with hangers at the entry. There is a lot of room to put a folding cot, which we also got and it was overall very comfortable.
The restaurant Flavurs offers complimentary breakfast, which offered a good spread and the servers were very polite.
The best part is the location in Civil Lines with Vinayak Mall just bang opposite to the hotel - and that mall has a PVR Inox, Burger King and many other stores. Many other stores and eateries are close by to the hotel, and one can just walk around.

A Delightful Experience – Highly Recommended!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Grand Continental. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their warmth, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help with anything we needed.
One aspect we truly appreciated was their transparency in billing and transactions—it made the entire experience smooth and trustworthy. Due to unforeseen health issues, my parents couldn’t travel with us, and we had to cancel one of the two rooms. The hotel handled this with great understanding and did not charge us for the cancellation, which we are very grateful for.
The food was excellent, offering a wide and delicious variety. My daughter especially enjoyed the buffet, which became one of her favourite parts of the stay. The ambience of the hotel was pleasant and relaxing, adding to the overall comfort. The hotel was clean with no unnecessary noise.
What stood out the most was the staff’s consistently courteous attitude and their readiness to resolve any issue promptly. Their hospitality truly made our stay memorable, and we would happily choose this hotel again.
Location is right in the middle of the city, in the main poh market, near the railway and bus stand. Overall stay is totally worth the price.

Worth a comeback

Ambience is surprisingly good, especially the cute courtyard in between rooms
Location is very nice with good shops around
Restaurant manager as well hotel manager took good care.

In the center, nice spacious room.

In the center and walking distance to restaurants (eg Methi Dana) We had a nice spacious room with a spacious hot shower. Breakfast is good.

Pleasant stay

Good overall experience as the rooms are newly decorated and such interior has been done tastefully. The location is great. The lift need repairs or replacement. The price is reasonable and staff co-operative.
