✨ A Memorable Stay at Ravla Bhenswara ✨

Had a wonderful stay at Ravla Bhenswara, a 240-year-old heritage hotel located about 15 km from Jalore and 120 km from Jodhpur. Once the official residence of the Jagirdars under the princely state of Jodhpur, the property beautifully showcases Marwari and Rajput architectural styles.
The owner and staff extended warm hospitality, ensuring every comfort. Set amidst a peaceful village, the Ravla offers an authentic rural ambience and a glimpse into princely heritage — though one shouldn’t expect five-star luxury, the regal charm and vintage elegance make up for it.
The hotel also organizes village and leopard safaris, and evenings come alive with Rajasthani folk music. The owners’ collection of vintage cars adds to the heritage aura.
A truly memorable royal experience filled with culture, warmth, and tradition — a must-visit for heritage and history lovers!

A real shame the food was not as good as the building

Whilst the building is a beautiful heritage hotel, they rest on those laurels as the food is poor. We had a buffet which was the blandest of all meals so far. They claimed it was catering to the western palette (although the absence of Corriander or other non hot seasoning was a shame) but the ingredients were also bland, we had seen fresh aubergine, okra and cauliflower in the market yet the dishes had none of this and there was no protein for the 6 vegetarians (no chickpeas, cashews or paneer).

This is a nice and authentic place, nice rooms, very friendly staff, good food. Top experience. The jeep safari with the owner was great!

Rural Gem of a Hotel

A complete gem of a hotel in very rural Rajasthan. Please don’t think about going here if you want the hussle of India. But if you want to be indulged in unique rural countryside and experience the true India among the farms, small villages and return to a friendly family run hotel then do check this place out.

Lovely heritage hotel. No issue recommending.

Just spent a night here while travelling around Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Lovely old heritage hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Being a heritage hotel it is not perfect but it feels more ‘real India’ than a purpose built western hotel. We much prefer heritage hotels.
We also went out for a walk around the local village, felt totally safe and had great fun meeting the locals and by the end we had a huge group of very excited local kids with us. It was great fun.
Would happily stay again.
