Stay at Varanasi
I had a pleasant stay at The Kashi Residency during my recent visit to Varanasi. The trip itself was very special, and the hotel’s warm hospitality made the experience even better. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Superb location as Assi ghat is walkable.
A special mention to Mr. Krishna Singh, who was extremely helpful. He guided us with temple visits and shared an easy checklist-style approach that made navigating the important temples and places in Varanasi much simpler. His support truly enhanced our visit.
One area where the hotel could improve is in clearly explaining the room categories. We had booked a river view room, but the view was not visible from our room as expected. It would help future guests if the room descriptions were more detailed so expectations are set properly.
Overall, we appreciated the hospitality and had a good stay while exploring the spiritual beauty of Varanasi.

Convenient location, great service and clean rooms
I stayed at The Kashi Residency with my parents and had a great experience. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, clean and well maintained. The staff provided quick, efficient and courteous service throughout our stay. Every interaction with the staff was positive, right from the front desk to the housekeeping staff and the guide, Krishnaji. The restaurant served delicious, and almost home style cooked food and brought it to our rooms.
It’s in walking distance from the Assi ghat and that made it so much easier for us to go for Ganga aarti in the morning. The premium rooms that I booked said that it has “river view” from the room balcony. It did have a partial view because of constructions which limit the view. They do mention that they don’t have elevators, so if you are traveling with elderly parents you may prefer ground floor rooms.

My favorite place to stay in Varanasi
The Kashi Residency is my favorite place to stay in Varanasi. This was my second time staying here and this time we stayed 3 weeks. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is awesome, from the front desk staff Ayush to the cleaning staff and the staff at the roof top restaurant Ritesh and Rahul were always ver professional and friendly. I also love that this place is situated inside a gated plot and the Hanuman temple inside the plot gives the whole place a very peaceful mood.
Great location right by Assi Ghat, felt very safe through out our entire stay.
I can't wait to come back to Varanasi and stay here again.

Great experience and great hospitality.
Great experience, especially with the hospitality from Ayush (duo) and Anshu, Vikas and team. The restaurant order turn around time can be improved.
