Peaceful stay
Absolutely loved this place. So calm and green. The room was absolutely hygienic and had a huge washroom attached. The garden is very well maintained too. Didn't use the pool though. There is enough parking space for cars too. The owner, Paul, is very receptive to all the requirements. This quaint place has a common room with a TV and a reading room. The homestay is very close to all the major cafes in Auroville. Highly highly recommended.

A complete let down!
I booked this property looking at the pictures, however was aghast at the current state of it when I visited. Totally unkept lawns, unclean common areas, TV and lounge area filled with inspects and residue, swimming pool uncleaned for days, staff that have too less training on hospitality. While the property is beautifully located and is quiet in ambiance, the maintanece is so poor.
They say breakfast is included and all they gave us was just one dish, the only alternate was bread!
Totally not worth the cost of booking with breakfast.
When we sat down for breakfast the sweeper women stormed in and started sweeping near us, we had to then inform her to sweep after we left. Such poor sense of hospitality. The care taker seems to be a new recruit and has no clue, keeps checking with the cook aunty for information.
The cook aunty again seems to be unhappy cooking, she even told us she is not given any leave even if no guests show up.
Our only suggestion to the owner is to bring back the old glory of this property. It's our wish to come back and experience it in it's True beauty.

Quiet simple and relaxing
We stayed in the king suit with good beds beautiful view on the garden huge bathroom, clean and new aircond/fan. Service was great, water jar given in our room, big breakfast, helpful staff. Pool was cleaned for us to use and playground is in good condition. We’ll recommend it to our friends :)

My Home in Auroville
I arrived in Auroville in February (2019) expecting to stay only for two or three nights. But due to what I found when I arrived there – or what found me – I stayed for two weeks. Sun Farm House was my home and sanctuary during my very rewarding visit to the community. The owner Paul and his staff have gotten things very, very right. A lot of thought and care has gone into this property, and it shows. My room was very comfortable, with a luxurious bed and powerful aircon & hot water geyser. Coming home after long, hot days riding my bike around the city and experiencing the many true growth opportunities available there, I never had a moment's doubt I would arrive to a shower to cool off and fully relax. Breakfasts in the morning were consistently delicious, as were the lunches and dinners. And the food was the perfect "weight" for the personal work I was doing. I always felt full, but never heavy. Rajaram, the caretaker, and his wife were always smiling, always friendly. They made me feel like family. And Paul and I spent many long and valuable nights talking about India, its culture, its beauty, and also some of its struggles. His insight and generosity was one of many, many precious gifts I received during my visit. So much so that it was difficult to leave. I searched for reasons to stay. Reasons to spend another tranquil morning looking at the perfectly designed and landscaped yard. Reasons to have one more meal at the table. Reasons to ride my bike one last time off the main street, down the dusty road, home. I found plenty, for sure. But I knew in my heart that it was time to go. So all those reasons became reasons why I'll go back, and why I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the amazing City of Dawn. Thank you Paul. Thank you Rajaram, and wife. Thank you Ravi. Thank you Sun Farm. For everything.

Nice place, Good people, Decent food!!
It was overall a nice experience in Sun Farm house. We booked 2 rooms, both were neat and clean. The staff members were good, courteous. Food was as per our suggestions and tasted very nice. Our kids had enjoyed the stay, the pool, and the lawn area!! Looking forward to visit again..!!
