Verdant Bliss
Took a short break from the hustle bustle of Bangalore. Drove down on Roxxie. The place is really very well maintained for a property built in 2009. Spent time walking around . The food is excellent local cuisine , especially for non vegetarians. The beef marinade was good but the pieces were not soft . Other than that the fish polichathu meaning cooked in plantain leaf was excellent. As was the coconut mango based fish curry. Visited Edakkal caves and went boating in the Banasura dam . All I all a good trip and kudos to the management for keeping this place pristine.

Food is a big problem
Terrible stay at Vyithri Village resort. Getting food on time was a big problem. Only 1 restaurant was in operational conditional with too much of load that too with very limited menu. Even a starter, curry or bread order took 50-60 mins.
Taste was awful.
During breakfast there were not enough place to seat. There was continuous shortage of spoons, plates and food on the serving table.

Excellent pool villa
We stayed at the resort from 20th May to 23rd May. It’s a large property with many room categories, and we chose the pool villa. The villa was very good — spacious, furnished in an old‑style charm (not antique, but classic), and the private pool was clean with proper water circulation. The privacy was excellent, which made the stay even more relaxing.
The staff were attentive and helpful throughout. We had checked in to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and they made the moment special by delivering a cake and a card exactly at midnight, along with a flower bouquet that I had arranged for the celebration. A thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated.
I would have happily given a full 5‑star rating, but the chaotic restaurant experience, delays in in‑room dining, and wrong orders prevent me from doing so. The F&B Manager personally met us, apologized for the inconvenience, and patiently listened to our suggestions. I genuinely hope the service improves, because the resort has great potential.
Overall, a very good stay and highly recommended.

Harsh response from staff
We had a very disappointing experience with our booking at Vythiri Village, Wayanad.
We had booked a Classic Room for April 13, and due to a last-minute change, my mother was supposed to join us. We politely requested the hotel to arrange an extra bed, and we were even willing to adjust considering the situation.
We called the property twice, and unfortunately, two different staff members attended our calls. We expected at least some level of hospitality or professionalism from the second interaction—but both staff members were equally rude and unhelpful.
Instead of explaining things courteously, they bluntly told us to book another room in a harsh and arrogant tone. Only later did they mention that the room size was the issue. The way this was communicated showed a complete lack of basic hospitality and respect towards guests.
For a property that claims to be a 5-star resort, the attitude of the staff was shocking. Hospitality is not just about infrastructure, but how guests are treated—and this was a complete failure on that front.
Due to this unpleasant interaction, we decided to cancel our booking. Definitely not the kind of experience one expects from a premium resort. Would not recommend based on our experience.

A great stay in a green haven next to a city.
Vythiri Village is located over a densely spread green area covered by trees. The resort has a great vibe to it and has a few sights like the hanging bridge which are pretty unique. It is also very close to the city bit away from the noise.
We stayed here for 3 nights and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and takes very good care of the guests.
