Excellent

It is a nice hotel. We booked online and the standard rooms were a put off. It was not a weekend and we upgraded them to premium. The premium rooms were nice with large balconies. The hotel was a bit pricey for a place like Tarapith. But I could understand when checking out - lots of tourist. The staffs were extremely nice and the food was great.

A stay with some lovely memories!

I had a very nice stay recently at Hotel Sonar Bangla Tarapith. Initially it was a bit upsetting when I tried to reach to the hotel many times on the day of the arrival for some urgent communication but unanswered in every occasion. However, once we reached, it was really special. The Operations Manager, Mr. Surajit himself was present to welcome us and he ensured all the services organized seamlessly. As a beautiful gesture, he even upgraded our room, thank you.
The services were nice, a few cases it may had a scope of improvement, otherwise it was prompt and organized. The rooms were nice, simple yet comfortable. Food quality was good and the overall stay will be remembered until I go back.
Despite the general Hospitality Courtesy could've been improved with more smiles and greetings allover, especially from the reception staffs, a few names I must acknowledge for their pleasing services and polite emotional touches. Sudipta, Bapi, Manoj were a few of those lovely people.
Thanks again and I'll be back.

Poor welcome.. bad first impression

Rooms are good with balconies but the larger rooms with pool view look better
Reception staff need a rocket put up them . Zero smile or welcome and zero ‘ how was your stay ‘ on checking out . They need training in hospitality or firing !

We had absolutely wonderful experience and particularly the food was amazing. Vikramjeet, who is manages the restaurant at Sonar Bangla is amazing person. We had our lunch and in general just mentioned that we would like to have Khichdi for dinner. Though it was in the menu but he went out of his way to get Khichdi prepared and also suggested Baingan Bhaja and Aalu bharata along with that. It was so tasty … and more than that it was really great to talk to Vikramjeet. Wish every restaurant has at least one Vikramjeet. Thanks so much Vikramjeet and all the best to you!!
