Best location, rooms and price in a great area

We love this place!
This is our second time here.
Lovely quiet atmosphere, beautiful gardens and pool, very large rooms with balconies all at a very reasonable price. It is in such a great location. There are countless coffee places, restaurants and spas within a 5 min walk. There’s a mini mart right out the front, and Livingstone bistro (great coffee, pastries & food) at the front door. Kimberley Spa is great and within 100m.
I had to laugh at some of the other reviews. The owner’s dog ( which we’ve only seen once) is this cute little French bulldog. Not scary. This is my 42nd trip to Bali and this is the best value place we’ve found. Surprised that not everyone gets how great value this place is. It is really clean and beautiful. It actually reminds me a bit of Poppies Cottages in Kuta - a quiet haven in a bustling area.
Kamaniiya and Capitol hotels nearby are comparable in price, but their rooms are half the size, no balconies for the standard rooms and are right on the street (so may be noisier). This hotel is down a pretty bamboo lined lane, and very quiet and peaceful both at night and in the day. The villas just at the front are about 10 times the price!
Since we last visited in August the hotel now has room service. Decent nasi goreng and chicken satay at a reasonable price (85,000 rupiah each). Brekky is basic but decent - a la carte American or Indonesian options. If you want a smoothie bowl or more options, Livingstone has plenty.
One of the best things is the hotel is totally smoke free - which is probably one of the reasons why it is so quiet. Suits us! It is lovely and peaceful eating brekky overlooking the pool. So - don’t worry about the bad reviews - this is a great place. And a well-kept secret…!
Really can’t get better value in this area.

Excellent value, location, service, security & pool! Highly recommended!

I’ve stayed at Bali Karma Sajtra at least 20 times in the past 3 years and it’s consistently excellent. Excellent value, and the location is incredible. The staff are attentive, friendly and the service is impeccable - if anything pops up, tell the team and it’s fixed fast. Rooms are large and comfy, great for longer stays - we've stayed as a couple, and a family with kids, and also with grandparents (please note there's only stair access to the top floors which are the family suites). Great security (a boom gate and security guard at the entrance, swipe card for the rooms) so we always feel at ease. Swimming pool is huge and kept very clean. Highly recommended!
