Three Days in Yogyakarta
I booked it without knowing it was a homestay, but in the end I feel I had a good experience.
Wibowo, the owner, recommended a good place, and he took my preferences from the conversation and recommended them.
As my personal taxi driver, he waited all day, sometimes two and a half hours in Borobudur.
The important thing for Japanese like me is to check the price first. I feel that the cost of your stay, including the cost of a taxi for several days, is reasonable.
I'm also very happy with your wife's reasonable homemade food. I recommend it.
Wibowo, the owner, recommended a good place, and he took my preferences from the conversation and recommended them.

Highly Recommended Homestay!
Our stay here was a very heartwarming experience, where we treated like we were part of the family. The hosts (Wibowo & Henni) are very kind, attentive and generous - going out of their way to help make our stay satisfying and memorable. It is a homestay, so we were not expecting the usual hotel amenities, but the room was surprisingly large and the a/c strong. Henni is a great cook and made us authentic home-made meals for a big breakfast, mid-day snacks and dinner to order.
We went to Yogyakarta just for Borobodur & Prambanan (which is just a short, pleasant walk from Rumah Desa), but discovered so many other wonderful places through Wibowo, whom we also hired as our tour guide/driver. He was eager and proud to share their country, and happily took us to many different secret places like Nepal von Java and Mt. Merapi, which in hindsight are both must-see's in our opinion.
Thank you, Wibowo and Henni, our new-found family in Prambanan, for our fantastic and memorable stay!

Az outstanding stay
We met the nicest hosts at this lovely accommodation. They were helpful with everything, there was no request they wouldn't fulfill willingly. The lady of the house (Heni) is a wonderful cook, very kind and attentive. The owner of the house (Wibowo) is a direct, helpful and funny person who constantly provides interesting and useful information, arranges everything (transfer, sightseeing, tickets, etc.), the guest has nothing to do but relax and have a good time. The traditional accommodation is within walking distance of the Prambanan and Sewu temples, on a quiet street. The room is tasteful, extremely clean and meets all needs. We really loved being here, and if we return, we will stay here again. I recommend everyone who comes to Prambanan to stay here. And don't miss the dinner! Thank you for everything!

Comfortable stay close to Prambanan
We only stayed one night at Rumah Desa Homestay (from 10pm to noon the next day), but the experience was wonderful.
The owners are truly kind and welcoming, making sure all of our needs were met. The room had everything we could ask for—working AC, hot shower, soaps and shampoos in case we forgot, and extra bottled water. In the morning, we were served a delicious breakfast, and the owner even went above and beyond by personally driving us to the entrance of Prambanan Temple and later picking us up.
Even though our stay in Yogyakarta was short, this homestay made it memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back on our next visit.
I would happily recommend Rumah Desa Homestay to friends, family, and anyone looking for a comfortable stay close to Prambanan.

Absolutely recommended
Wibowo and Heni are two super welcoming people, who put passion into what they do. He took us around the city (not included in the price), made us discover the production of silver jewelry and beautiful batik, and accompanied us to Borobudur. She prepared us great breakfasts and dinners. Always available, they make you feel at home.
