Home away from home

A home away from home. What a great family orientated place to stay. My two children and myself thoroughly loved it, it was perfect for us. Dewa and his wife, Laksmi, were really friendly, accommodating and hospitable.
Straight away you feel a family vibe and you are welcomed into the fold, the grandmother is so lovely and always tried to communicate something to the girls, with a big smile. On our second morning we were welcomed to take part in a ceremony and visit the local temple.
Dewa is amazing, he drove us most nights, at a cheaper price to the local taxis, to central Ubud. On one occasion I’d booked a trip which I wasn’t sure about and he called the company, drove us to the pickup point in the morning and throughout the day, he and Laksmi text us to see how we were getting on.
The rooms are very clean, comfortable and tidy. And my children loved the banana pancakes for breakfast. Laksmi is very accommodating with breakfast and if you fancy something thing different, she will try her beat to get it for you.
Another thing to be aware of is that, you can rent mopeds through this couple and book trips.
We loved this place so much, we are hoping to go back again next summer.

Incredible

Such a lovely place just outside Ubud in a quiet village. We spent 3 days at this lovely family. Everything was clean and they were extremely helpful and sweet. Couldn’t wish for a better stay. Also able to rent a taxi for a fair price.

Quiet authentic Balinese stay 10 mins away from bustling city

This was the cleanest, nicest, friendliest place I have ever stayed, and I travel extensively. The price is no where close to the service you get. Every member of this multigenerational family is eager to help, advise, and even teach you Balinese culture and history. The room is lofty, the bathrooms modern and spotless. There is someone sweeping the floor almost 24/7.
My only complaint-if it really is one- is no access to fridge or kitchen. Kitchen is ok, but every time you need or want something, you have to ask someone to get it or put it in THEIR fridge. Although they do not mind at all, this is a problem when you need a cold drink at 3am.

Just lovely experience

I spend a week there.Hosts treated me like family. Breakfast cooked with so much love. They were so helpful and caring. 10-15 minutes to Ubud centre by motorbike. If you want to experience real authentic Bali, go there.

Wonderful Place! Great Vacation!

My sister and I had a wonderful time staying here. Our room is very comfortable and the family owns the place are super friendly. We planned to stay just 2 nights but we end up staying 5 nights, the whole time we were there in Bali, it was recommended by my good friend. It was a wonderful experience. Everyday they took us around, we had a private driver and a couple times the owner took us around too. The owner of the place has a car, we used his car to go around in different places, it made everything very easy and accessible for us. It was very relaxing vacation. Bali is awesome!!! I'll go back and stay the same place. Thanks to Dewa and all the family members. They are all wonderful people.
