Wonderful Staycation

Sutasoma Hotel is The Best and Recommended Hotel. All of employee are friendly, helpful, and fast response especially Mrs. Linda (FB Restaurant), Mr. Donny (FB Resto), Mrs. Hanny (FO Staff), Mr. Naufal (FB Restaurant), and Mrs. Jessica (FB Restaurant). Atman Lounge and Restaurant provided delicious, authentic, and Variatif food. Facilities are modern and Completed. This Hotel near from MRT and Blok M. Thank you for your best and excellent service Sutasoma Hotel.

Warm, cozy, ethnic but modern hotel

Such a very warm and cozy hotel. Suitable for business and couple. This 4 star hotel giving a warm ambience that make you feel like your own home. I stayed 3D2N alone for business trip and I really enjoyed my stay here.
Following their name "Sutasoma" all the interior feel ethnic and "Java", but modern. It also applied for their bathroom.
Do not forget to try breakfast menu which was very tasty and mouthwatering. I think this part is their strength which all breakfast menu so heavenly. I strongly recommended to stay here if you look for hotel near Dharmawangsa Jakarta, either for couple or business trip.

Staffs are super helpful

I'm currently still staying at Hotel Sutasoma, and so far, it’s been a really pleasant experience overall, especially thanks to the way the staff handled an unexpected situation.
When I first arrived, my suitcase was unfortunately damaged during hotel handling. I was a bit concerned at first, but honestly, the way the staff responded completely turned the situation around. They were incredibly quick to take responsibility, and not only did they fix the issue, they repaired my luggage even better than expected. That kind of service, proactive, professional, and sincere, really impressed me.
The room itself is beautiful and very comfortable, with a clean, classy feel that makes it easy to relax. The entire hotel is well-maintained and spotless, which says a lot about their standards.
Another major plus is the location, just a short walk to Blok A MRT Station, making it super convenient to get around Jakarta. Whether you're here for work or leisure, the easy access to public transport is a huge advantage.
Still have a few nights left here, and honestly, I’m already happy with my choice. If you're looking for a stylish, clean stay with top-notch customer service, I’d definitely recommend giving Hotel Sutasoma a try.

Traumatizing Experience – A Serious Warning for Solo Female Travelers

As a mother and global traveler, I am writing this review with a heavy heart after my 20-year-old daughter endured a deeply traumatizing experience during her stay with our family at Sutasoma Hotel on 21 June 2025.
This is not a simple complaint - it is a grave safety incident involving unacceptable staff behavior, disturbing inconsistencies in the hotel’s explanation, and a clear breach of trust and international hospitality standards:
Unlawful Room Entry While Guest Was Inside:
While my daughter was alone, unwell, and resting in bed, three men approached her room. Two entered without consent after briefly shouting "room service" and then changed their story to "security." They did not leave immediately, lingered inside her room, and offered a vague comment: “Maybe it’s just dust.”
No Emergency Warning, No Equipment, No Alarm:
The hotel claims there was a fire detector issue, yet no alarm sounded, no smoke or hazard was present, and no tools or protocols were followed. No call was made to her room. The incident felt more like a cover-up than a legitimate emergency.
Inappropriate Conduct and Questioning:
Earlier, a staff member delivering a “turn down cake” had asked my daughter inappropriate personal questions such as “Who are you with?” and “Where’s your family staying?” This was deeply intrusive and completely unacceptable.
Psychological Impact:
My daughter returned home visibly shaken and emotionally distressed. She was terrified in her own room, afraid to move, and completely unprepared for strangers male staff members to enter unannounced. She had to hide behind the door, not fully dressed, and has since spoken about feeling unsafe, vulnerable, and deeply violated.
Management’s Inadequate and Evasive Response:
To make matters worse, the hotel’s responses have been dismissive, factually inconsistent, and evasive. They failed to take accountability or even acknowledge the emotional harm caused.
Conclusion:
This was not a hospitality error - it was a serious violation of safety, privacy, and professional conduct. Until Sutasoma Hotel publicly acknowledges this incident, investigates their staff’s actions, and revises their emergency and privacy protocols, I urge all travelers especially women and families to think twice before booking this hotel. No guest should ever have to feel unsafe, and no woman should be made to feel so vulnerable in what should be a secure space.
