Smal paradise!
A beautiful resort in a lovely nature surrounding. The service and food was great and Apri was a fantastic waitress. Very friendly and professional!! Again a lovely place to stay

Real relaxation
Wow what a beautiful place to stay. Gorgeous room, stunning jungle garden, pool and restaurant. Had the best garlic prawns and veges ever. Restraunt very reasonable with beautiful food. Thankyou to Adam and the most helpful team. Can't wait to come back soon!!!!!

Highly recommended
I stayed at Dasa Wana resort for 4 nights. The gardens were beautiful, and watching the monkeys play in my private garden was a real highlight. Staff were excellent, attentive and very helpful. The restaurant was quality, the pool clean and great place to hang out, and motorbike hire on site made getting around easy. Beds are very comfy and sheets top quality. Lots of attention to detail: in room fridge and water dispenser, welcome drink, frangipane flowers scattered in the room on arrival, laundry comes back perfumed. No TV. Location’s good, though the beach has eroded and redevelopment won’t finish until 2027/28. Swimmable beaches such as virgin beach or blue lagoon remain a drive away. Scuba diving and snorkelling activities are also available in town. Recommend Salty Finns for scuba. Some rooms could use more privacy, and Wi-Fi was spotty in places. But the value for money was excellent and cleanliness was very good. I’d recommend it for a relaxing jungle getaway.

Peaceful Haven
Dasa Wana Resort – a peaceful Candi Dasa favourite
I have now stayed at Dasa Wana Resort on six separate occasions over a period spanning roughly ten years, and it has become one of my favourite places to stay in Bali.
Over the past two years, Dasa Wana has come under the stewardship of new owners, Adam and John, who have lifted the standard of the resort considerably while retaining the character that has always made it such an appealing place.
Dasa Wana is set well back from the busy main road through Candi Dasa and is consequently remarkably peaceful. At its heart is a delightful swimming pool surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and palm trees. The overall atmosphere is relaxed, intimate and distinctly Balinese rather than that of a large international resort.
The property has an interesting history. It originated as a Dutch timeshare development, and some of that earlier character remains. Rather than attempting to turn it into something slick and anonymous, the present owners have progressively upgraded the accommodation and facilities while preserving its period charm.
One of the great pleasures of staying at Dasa Wana is the restaurant. The kitchen team produces consistently excellent food, including very good Balinese dishes, and there is also the opportunity to participate in Balinese cooking lessons — an experience that adds considerably to a longer stay.
Just as importantly, the resort has a friendly and helpful team of Balinese staff who contribute enormously to its welcoming atmosphere. After returning on a number of occasions, we have come to know some of them, which gives Dasa Wana the feeling of returning to a familiar place rather than simply checking into another hotel.
The location is also extremely convenient. Candi Dasa itself is easily accessible on foot, while the sea and beach area are only a short walk away. The continuing restoration of the beachfront is another welcome development for this part of Candi Dasa.
For travellers looking for five-star international-resort luxury, Dasa Wana is probably not intended to compete in that market. Its appeal is different: it is peaceful, comfortable, personal, characterful and very good value, with excellent food and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.
After six visits over approximately a decade, and having seen the improvements made under Adam and John, I continue to regard Dasa Wana as a particularly enjoyable place to stay in Candi Dasa and one to which we intend to return.
Thoroughly recommended.

I had another wonderful stay at Dasa Wana Jungle Resort Candidasa. Everything went seamlessly from the moment I made my last-minute booking. Jean and the entire hotel team were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
