Fantastic Kampung

I loved my stay at The Kampung. Very cute bungalows by the beach with private pool. Was surprised how big the 2 bedroom complex was. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location. The bedroom toward the back of the complex is quite dark however but certainly no issue really.

Heaven in Amed

We have stayed at several different places in Amed, including the The Kampung, and it is definitely our pick above all others every time.
It is extremely clean, the staff are wonderful and the location right on the water with the private pool makes for an extremely relaxing and idyllic holiday. When the wind is not onshore, the water is beautiful and clear - so bring your snorkel and goggles!

Bali Zen

Loved the Kampung and appreciated Ketut and the crew looking after us.
I booked this spot as it was the best value for a 2 bedroom beachfront villa and the property blew us away. it's in a quieter part of Amed which worked well for us and we had the local legend Made, who we met on the beach out the front, to help with all our boat excursions and driving us around the town and further to other sights.
we did 3 nights and wished we had at least one more.

A perfect retreat even in the rain

The Kampung Amed Bali
We stayed here for a family weekend away with 4 adults and 3 children. A beautiful wooden house with a huge infinity pool and garden right on the beach. 2 massive super huge beds and 2 rooms with large twin beds. Plus an extra room seperate if needed with huge bed. The kids loved going out on the sea canoe and snorkeling from there or the rocky beach. The staff were there to welcome us and cooked us a delicious lunch at a very reasonable price. We also bought fish from a local fisherman on the beach. 100k for 15 mackarel freshly caught. The staff will happily cook these for you if you ask them.
The little restaurant over the road was fully booked when we arrived so had to get back in the car and go into Amed.

Idyllic, peaceful villa

This was our second visit to The Kampung (Jambi Villa). 6 nights weren't enough the first time, so we stayed 11 nights this trip. The buildings and grounds are beautiful. The Javanese houses have so much character, and the open-air bathroom is a treasure. The private pool and longhouse are the perfect setting to unwind and relax, especially after a morning of diving or snorkeling. Ketut and Wayan are so friendly and such great cooks. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a private home-away-from-home but still wanting great service and amenities.
