A cozy nice place to rest on our way to Bromo

I never had any idea about this little town of Pasuruan till I started my preparation of Mt. Bromo tour. I had a few options like staying at Malang, Probolinggo or Pasuruan and finally decided on Pasuruan after booking the accommodation this hotel. I had not much expectation from the place since my ultimate idea was to reach Bromo. On checking in to this hotel, I found it exceeded my expectations by means of facilities available in the room. I stayed for two nights and first night was not more than a few hours as I left around 1 am for my Bromo tour and the hotel arranged my taxi to reach the base camp and returned only during the next afternoon. I found the breakfast was just very ordinary, barring that everything else was excellent.

Could be so much better with a bit of effort

What the Hotel Pasuraun did not have: hand towels, a bath mat, a decent reading light, a kettle, hot water in the bathroom, a fridge, an edible breakfast. What it did have was lots of mosquitoes, grimy bathroom, and several power blackouts in the evening, one of them during my cold water shower. Fortunately, we were there only one night on our way to Bromo. The location is good and the setting, like an old-school motel, looked fine, almost nice, from the outside. But it is very poorly run. And the mosquitoes! There seemed to be no explanation for them, no open windows, no open doors. They really must address this mosquito problem.

Nice location

Located in the central of pasuruan, its very easy to get anywhere from this place. The room was fairly clean and the hospitality was very good. Ordered an omelette for a midnight snack and very enjoyed it.
