Heavenly
We absolutely lovedddd our stay at Bodhi Bingin! It’s in a great location, lots of great places to eat nearby (Cashew Tree just at the end of the road), very short distance to Bingin & Dreamland and other beaches & beach clubs.
We stayed in Villa 3, it’s the perfect little detox - no TV, outside bath and shower! Super private but has a nice sense of community too with the shared communal kitchen and pool.
Common areas are kept super tidy and clearly well maintained - these were groomed and swept multiple times throughout the day. Villa is also clean and tidy. With thanks to Wayan & Elli who are both great, super friendly & accommodating! You can rent a scooter at the property (saves you a job of going out to get one & dropping back when leaving)
The owners are absolutely lovely, we felt so at home and well looked after!
Would highly recommend Bodhi Bingin for travellers in Uluwatu, we hope to come back and stay for longer one day!
If you stay and have time, take some apple slices for the cows next door for me - visiting the little cows was probably my favourite part of the stay!

Disappointing experience
Really poor communication - which created a lot of unnecessary stress. Plus, the location is very hard to find - even with Google maps - because it’s literally just a single door on a lane with other doors. My driver kept trying to drop me off at Villa Bodhin - which was not the right spot - because he and I could not find the location at night (and I was literally watching to find this particular green door as he was driving). No one was there for checkin at 6:45 pm, which would’ve possibly been okay, except that I had no idea what room number I had been assigned. So, I was literally wandering the property, trying to find a vacant room. Room was hot on arrival - A/C was not turned on upon arrival. There is no instruction book in the room (something most non-hotel/airbnbs typically provide if they don’t have on-site staff for checkin), so I was walking around the property at night, trying to find the kitchen, water bottle refill station, etc. (if you’re not going to have an actual full-service hotel, please at least provide the typical instruction book of an Airbnb).
Much about the room is impractical (electrical outlets are few and in odd places that are not conducive to use; toilet outside; etc). Regarding the only electrical outlet I found that has a table/support to lay your electronic devices on while charging (by the bed)… I could not find a way to get an international power adapter to fit (because of how the outlet is fitted so close to the floor). In Villa 3, there is also no accesible electrical outlet by the large mirror in the room (unless you want to try to reach behind the mirror, unplug the lamp, and risk knocking the large mirror over and breaking it - which I wasn’t willing to do.) Therefore, if you are a woman wanting to use a flat iron or curling iron in front of a mirror, your only other option is to use an outlet in the outdoor bathroom. Unfortunately, this meant trying to flat iron my hair, prior to my flight, in the heat and humidity of outdoor Bali, while sweating (which defeats the purpose of a flat iron if you have hair that frizzes with sweat and humidity). They nicely provide an electric kettle for making coffee/tea, but there is NO surface to set the kettle on that is within reach of an electric plug - except to carry the kettle into the outdoor toilet and make your coffee/tea next to the toilet. (Sigh.) Gaps in doors allow mosquitoes in. I honestly wished I had stayed at a boutique hotel instead. (I had previously considered booking at The Elementum, and I seriously wished I had.)
The manager did arrive when I messaged, and he was very nice. And, when I met Ely, the next morning, she was exceptionally helpful, kind, and truly lovely. The grounds are also beautiful and within walking distance of Bingin Beach. (There is a lot of construction noise during the day - if that matters to anyone.) I do appreciate that they have a filtered water machine in the kitchen for refilling bottles with potable water.
I’ve traveled to 27 countries, and this place just didn’t make a very good impression on me. (Ely and the grounds are lovely, though.) I loved the previous two villas I stayed at in Bali, but this place just didn’t seem to have good communication, and I found the setup a bit lacking, as a guest.

We loved our stay at Bodhi Bingin ,
Room was lovely and bed very comfortable the only downfall was the shower , it had no pressure ! And
There were drips from the ceiling which was due to condensation fro AC
This would be the only reason we wouldn’t stay there again .
The location was fantastic and we enjoyed our breakfast at Cashew Tree which was only a 2 min walk .
Ellie from Bodhi Bingin was very sweet and we looked forward to her lovely smile every day
