Awesome service

The local bus arrived at the gate late in the evening. Receptionist came out with lights and assisted us with our backpacks into the reception. Staff Uni had a very happy, enthusiastic nature and was so helpful in our enquiries during our stay :) Room was provided with a standing fan and toilet was clean. No hot shower though. Breakfast was served at the eating area beside the parking area. Choices of coffee or tea. Pancake with a slice of banana or rice/noodle with eggs. They have a information board at the reception, showing what’s warung/cafes nearby to check out. The jetty was walking distance, bout 15mins walk. We had a day trip out arranged next day with a boat captain who was at the reception,island hopping with Snorkeling and meals provided for 500K IDR. The home cooked food and grilled fish on the spot was awesome. Uni helped us with motorbike rental, 100K IDR for the day. She also helped booked local bus to Ende, 70K IDR. Thank you for making our stay here enjoyable!

Faded glory

Upon arrival I got the idea that the owner, a nice guy, had no idea that we had reserved 2 rooms for two nights via Booking.com. He asked approximately when that booking had taken place. Since I had contacted him via WhatsApp after the reservation about booking a boat trip to N.P. The Seventeen Islands, I was able to point him to my message with the date on his mobile. Only then did it become clear to him who we were. At first the hotel seemed closed because we were the only guests at the time. The whole thing made a neglected impression. Unlike our friends, we were unlucky that the tap water in our room smelled terribly of sewage despite leaving the water on for a long time. Beds were clean and the air conditioning worked great. The breakfast was tasty. The hotel is located a short distance from the pier where the boats to The Seventeen Islands depart. There is a restaurant within a short walking distance that you should avoid if you don't want to get sick, but unfortunately you have little choice. As mentioned, the owner can arrange a boat trip and arranged this neatly for us. Ask for Captain Halis and you will have a day you will never forget.

Located close to harbor & 17 Islands NP

This hotel is clean with a good sized room and close to the harbor The staff were very attentive and helpful , even allowing us to return after check out time to have a shower after our snorkeling experience. Our driver Stef (+62 82244499249)whom we had for our 12 day Flores trip helped us all the way along including organizing for our boatman Lukman. Stef was always keen to get a fair price and good service wherever we went - including here at Bintang Wisata.

comfortable stay in Riung

We stayed at Bintang Wisata for two nights. We chose the cheaper room with a fan instead of aircon, which was fine. The rooms were spacious and clean as well as equipped with a mosquito net. They all look out to a nice garden from where we even got a fresh coconut on our first day. The staff was very friendly and helped us arrange a snorkeling trip on our second day. Breakfast was good. The hotel is conveniently located to get to the harbor. The ATM and restaurants are close by.

Air con!

This was a relief to find after a stressful couple of days. Big room with sensible elements, like nets and the rack for wet things outside every room. No hot water but blissful aircon. I liked the seats outside along the paved verandah. Presentation of the parking area lets down the attentive staff waiting in the tiled foyer.
This hotel has the basics ready, and as conditions and money allow, could become a popular choice in Riung.
