Rediscover your sense of Balance and Harmony

The Sanyas Retreat is a home away from home. My teenage kids and I, as well as another couple stayed four nights in August 2024. It was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries and find a sense of balance again in our lives. A few items I would like to highlight:
Villas, spa, pool: Each villa is named after a Balinese fruit. The two villas we were in were beautifully decorated paying homage to the Balinese culture and style and with modern amenities. I loved the outdoor shower. There was a ceiling screen in the middle of the bathroom to keep all the bugs out and the natural light in. The spa was lovely and peaceful. I got a pedicure and facial and felt completely relaxed afterwards as I spent the afternoon swimming in the infinity pool and lounging on the deck.
Staff: Ibu Ayu and her team are consummate professionals. She patiently answered my many questions, planned our itinerary of things To Do in Tabanan, and even guided us on a morning hike through the fields, along the river, and rice paddies.
Location: The individual villas are up the private. The estate overlooks the rice paddies next door. However, the action is just down the street. The Sanyas Retreat is close to everything. Easy walk to the local night market, stores, and central Tabanan. A short car ride to the beach. Less than an hour away from Tanah Lot and Jatiluwih.
Meals: Breakfast was provided each day of our stay with a choice of traditional Balinese and Western options with fresh juices and rich coffee. As a planner at heart, I felt it comforting being able to decide what I wanted to each the day before.
I look forward to our next stay at the Sanyas Retreat.

A real somewhere in the middle of Rice fields

A wonderfully calm and elegant place to enjoy Bali from a "different point of view". I really enjoyed the five days I have spent there in this peaceful atmosphere. The traditional style bungalows are designed to make you feel the pace of the island in a very confortable way.

A treat

Large cottages with a small enclosed front garden situated in well maintained property surrounded with rice fields. Infinity pool and comfy deck chairs and yummy breakfast. You need a car or scooter as it’s out there in the middle of beautiful countryside. Staff and gardeners are lovely. I was the only guest but never felt alone. Great Wi-Fi and the nightly sound effects from the local wildlife while sitting on your own private terrace..AMAZING! and definitely worthwhile.

Beautiful and warm-hearted accommodation!

We had an great stay at this location. Everything ist very clean and groomed. The staff ist friendly and has a lot of ideas for sights to visit in the near of the Hotel.
The room has a very good furnishing and gets cleaned up every day. The little private gardens in front of the apartments are wonderful.
The infinitypool can be used at any time and ist surrounded by great nature.
A very nice place to be! Thank you. :-)

A peaceful country Surf retreat

We were so lucky to find this place it was just what we needed on the end of our motorcycle tour of north bali, we stayed here before driving to Denpasar and didn’t want to get caught up in canggu and Kuta. The area is great there are Temples everywhere and a palace we enjoyed exploring the tranquil river and village where local culture is in full swing still untouched by tourists. We didn’t realise but there are two beaches 5 min scooter away that would be ideal for surfing and probably much quieter than the usual spots. It looked like it would shape up quite big! (We were there on Low tide) there is a warung and Surf board hire shop down there. The place itself was beautiful we had a comfortable bed, terrace with pretty garden so very private and the view from the pool was lovely rice fields. Food great and staff friendly. They have a bunch of villas and we were the only ones there so we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We would return for a country quiet Surf holiday for sure.
