Very memorable stay
The location is near car park so you don't have to walk too far to the tents. It's also near 2-3 waterfalls and it's quite a fun tracking to get to the waterfalls. Waterfalls are quite nice although i expect them to be bigger and less plastic trashes along the way.
Tents are limited maybe less than 15. Each tent has bathroom/seated toilet nearby, but no hot shower. Activities are limited, they don't have many facilities. During the day you can spend your time going to the waterfalls. Of course there is bonfire & barbecue at night. Children will love it. Food are pretty basic and it took quite a while for them to prepare dinner, but the tent & food prices are very reasonable.
Om Herman is a very nice person. Although he is as old as my father he always uses slangs just like when he talks to friends. He told us so many stories during his youth. His wife (sorry i forgot the name) is very sweet & motherly. It's a pleasure to know them both & they are one of the reasons I want to go there again.

WORST CAMPING PLACE, WORST CAMPING
Access to the HLC is on the portal and we wait up to 30 minutes before the tourist helps guide to the location, while the information will open the portal so that the car can enter.
POINT MINUS 2. The road is untreated, a lot of mud so smooth without a fence to hold
POINT MINUS 3. Receptionist, camping area, tent, toilet, shower, untreated, rather tended to be neglected, employees not cooperative, electricity instead filled with tokens.
I WON'T GO BACK TO THIS PLACE.

Meet the living legend
We spend one night and lucky to meet om herman himself and tante joyce - his wife, as i am om herman fans, as he is the legend Soe Hok Gie best friend.
The camp provide basic need of camping ; cozy camp with matrass, pillow and blanket, clean shower room, and clean kitchen. You can cook yourself or order some meals for dinner and lunch.

A little adventure family holiday
The camp is managed by Opa Herman Lantang itself and his wife, the beautiful couple. He is well known among Indonesian MAPALA communities. They gave us a warm welcome that makes us feel at home.
Don't expect luxury place and service like glamcamp, all things really modest but comfortable. The tent capacity is for 4 person, so it was really spacious for 3 of us. They provide the foam mattress, pillows and blankets in the tent, we also can relaxing on the bamboo bench in front of our tent, no need to worry with the rain since the tent have bamboo roof. Private bathroom is available beside the tent.
The camp located near Curug Nangka, so we can hike to enjoy the waterfalls in the day and enjoy the bonfire in the night. Don't forget to order the barbeque when book the tent, kids really love them.
Herman Lantang Camp teach us to slow down and appreciate the nature, leave your gadgets a while and explore the surrounding areas. Let your kids running to chase the butterflies and grasshoppers, or playing with the mimosa pudica and the wild flowers.
Really a good place to enjoy with family and good friends, we will go back for sure.
