Exceeded expectations

Stopped in for one night just as a stop gap between Arklow and Galway, we were pleasantly surprised, lovely welcome on arrival, room was spotless, good shower, tea and coffee, comfy beds. We had dinner in the bar area, chicken and chips with onion rings, really nice, breakfast was lovely, we asked for poached eggs, and they were cooked to perfection, hats off to the chef, all our food was excellent, we would definitely return to this hotel.

Not the worst, but I couldn't recommend

Pros:
Clean, warm, convenient location. The breakfast was pretty good (limited options if your vegiterian/vegan though).
Cons: Dated, small beds, not very comfortable mattresses, and NOISY.
The bedroom doors (we had 2 rooms, and both had the same issue) are not soundproof at all, and with other guests up and down the corridor, banging doors half the night, we didn't get much sleep at all.
This place has potential, but needs a full refurb.

Rooms were fine beds comfortable but the food really needs attention burgers were too over done nearly burnt staff understaffed would I stay there again probably not
