Hidden gem
Very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us.The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was first class.

Stains on the carpets. Very tired looking in general. TV had dead pixels. Hairdryer in bathroom damaged previously and had been attempted to be repaired using insulating tape. New staff on front desk at check in making mistakes and was clearly not being supervised and did not have the experience to be left alone to check in guests

The withered shamrock at the Shamerock lodge hotel.
The Shamrock lodge is a tired hotel beyond the reception and bar area. I stayed in one of the apartments. My first night the bed sheets were damp. The apartment was fitted with old furniture that was scratched and had lumps taken out of them.
The hotel could be cleaner and carpets vacuumed. The continental quilts on the bed were winter ones and made sleeping in June impossible, not just for me but also many of my colleagues. When reception was asked to assist i was left two extra bed sheets instead of a summer quilt!!! The Hotel didn’t possess summer bed clothes.
While the staff were superb but the unclean condition of the hotel, the abysmally slow service at evening meal made the experience of the Shamrock Lodge most unsatisfactory. I booked out two nights before i was supposed to and found satisfactory accommodation elsewhere in town.
There is planning permission on the gate of the hotel signalling renovations. The hotel boasts a visit by Grace kelly, princess of Monaco. Hopefully the future renovations will make this hotel a place fit for a monarch. It isnt fit for habitation now!!!

No surprises here
OK 3* hotel. Large triple room. Lumpy beds.
Hot cooked buffet breakfast. No facilities for coeliac or diabetic guests. Low fat sweetened yogurts, fruit salad in sweetened syrup. Basic breads.
Yogurt and berries needed as well as a choice of seeded breads.
Didn't eat dinner here. Staff do their job well.

Great place for a weekend away
Really enjoyed our stay at the Shamrock Lodge, All the staff were really friendly and helpfull,
We had a beautiful Room. The Princess Grace Room,
We eat in the dining room on our first night,Food was really good and service fantastic,
We really enjoyed the music in the bar on Saturday night , it was more of a singalong than music Blaring at you,
Bartenders were friendly and the service was great , Overall
I would highly recommend the
