Stella Maris Shore House

We had a great stay at the Stella Maris Shore House.
The bedrooms are beautifully appointed overlooking the sea. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was really enjoyable and we had a family dinner which was immense. The location is beautiful and in an undiscovered part of Ireland. Great welcome by Host and owner Rakf. We will definitely return.

A hidden treasure

We stayed in the Stella Maris from the 3rd to 5th of July . It was a great experience for us .The bedrooms were spotless ,laid out beautifully with very comfortable beds .The breakfasts were excellent with a variety of breads and cereals and very tasty full Irish ones also . Rolf and his staff were very welcoming and could not do enough for us . I would also like to mention the very comfortable conservatory where you can sit peacefully and look out over the Atlantic Ocean .

Nice location in a characteristic building. Staff try very hard to please the guests with personal attention. Food very good.

An amazing find - exquisite food in a beautiful setting - highly recommend!

The Stella Maris is the definition of a hidden gem! It’s amazing. My husband and I were visiting family nearby and were only looking for a bed for the night as it was a quick visit so we didn’t do much research. Little did we know, that not only would we get an extremely comfortable bed, in a spotless sea view room, but that we would also be getting one of the best meals we’ve ever had anywhere. Rolf and his team are so professional, so welcoming and warm, and the dinner was superb. Breakfast the next morning was also made to order and was also fab. We couldn’t believe our luck to stumble across such a find, and we shall definitely be back. Oh, and the scenery is spectacular too!

Fantastic stay with my parents!!

We had the most wonderful stay at Stella Maris Shore House. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even coming out to greet us and helping with our bags.
We were originally booked as a group of four, but one of us couldn’t make it. I was kindly offered the most beautiful single room, Connemara, with the bed facing directly out to the sea. Waking up to those stunning views was unforgettable.
The accommodation was also extremely considerate of dietary requirements. As I am lactose intolerant, oat milk was available for breakfast. Gluten free options also.
The food was outstanding, the seafood chowder was the best I’ve ever had, and every meal was of the highest quality. The breakfast was equally delicious and beautifully prepared.
The conservatory is a lovely, peaceful place to sit and take in the spectacular scenery, and the bar offers a fantastic selection of drinks, including unique local gins that added to the experience.
Everything about our stay was top class, from the hospitality to the food and breathtaking location. The staff made us feel so welcome, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Stella Maris Shore House to anyone looking for a memorable stay
