Exhausted

Went for a nice relaxing night in Donegal. Booked into Ballyliffin 4 star Lodge. Was a wedding going on. Was fine. Unfortunately it lasted 12hours. Rave music finished at 2am. Stragglers drinking, smashing glasses, screaming and shouting until 4 am. We were above them on a balcony. Loads of illegal drugs being taken. Rang reception many times and they never answered. Checked out and the guy on the desk didn't give a damn. Not even an an apology. Got 3 hours sleep. Couldn't use the pool or gym as we planned the next day because we were exhausted.

Food to die for but accommodation sadly lacking

My wife and I have been coming to this hotel for 20 years....it has reopened and we were excited about a return it being so close to Clonmany....
However we were sadly disappointed.
We checked in and allocated a room, close to lifts as requested due to my mobility issue.....we opened the door.....room looked like it was just put together....OK the facilities were there but beds in wrong place. Plugs and light fittings were strangely located and not close to anything....and it was Freezing....
We thought it will warm up by time we come up again and went down to the bar to eat..Upon perusal of the menu...I noticed last thing on list was Gammon and pineapple....FOR 1 EURO.... Certainly a misprint and mistake and when we mentioned to Liam who was doing everything that night...he laughed and agreed.
But he didn't know the price.....so we ordered the burger....
The burger was fine...nothing special and they even managed to get our sides wrong....we were the only two eating.....we decided against the overpriced dessert in favour of Irish Coffee.....
Whoever trained that girl to make Irish Coffee needs a good boot....Coffee was warmish, don't know what whiskey was used as we weren't offered...and the cream sat there like a congealed lump on top...No sugar and it was.....sour would be a compliment....
The girl, obviously a foreign national...which is good to see...just had no clue what we were talking about.....and so to bed....
