Great central location

We found the Cashel B&B to be very handy to everything within town. Even the Rock of Cashel is within relatively easy walking distance. Due to a problem with our room on the first night we were readily upgraded to a much larger room for the second night. The building has plenty of character, the beds in both rooms were comfortable and bath facilities were fine. Our host PJ was also very easy to talk to.

No Room at the Inn despite booked

Poor experience, Make sure you confirm your room as they forgot my booking even though we booked 3 different nights all at the one time in person and had stayed the other 2 times, breakfast is very average at best , pathetic customer service and the person who answered the phone just said sorry the room is not there , no explanation and didn't care or offer to try and secure another room in a the area with Another B&B , there is much nicer B&B in the town so please do avoid and go elsewhere , a bit like what I had to do

Terrible night

We probably would have had more sleep if we had slept in our car. Our bed was hard and our pillows were lumpy. I have no idea how a pillow could even get lumpy like that. We had an ensuite, but the wall of our room was shared with the bathroom for the rest of the floor. It was so loud it would not have been any better if everyone was using our bathroom. The doors offered no privacy. We heard every conversation everyone had all night. We did learn that failte Ireland is an organization that sets standards for B and B's in Ireland. Our stay at Cashel Town B and B was a painful but valuable lesson. We were told there was parking, but the only parking was on the street where the sign said no overnight parking. We were reassured that the signs were never enforced. Luckily we did not get towed or a fine.

The B&B with no breakfast

The description of our accommodation on the hotel booking web site was 'Studio Apartment with tv, ironing facilities, carpeted, coffee machine, city view, terrace, dining table etc.. . The grim reality was a grotty converted shed with lino on the floor, wires hanging out of the wall, an abundance of mould in the unheated bathroom, a TV that was not connected to any channels, wi-fi that only worked if you stood in the doorway, appliances that contained the remains of the previous guests meal (including slimey milk in the kettle and scraps in the toaster oven). The coffee machine, iron, hairdryer, dining table etc were nowhere to be found.
Our view was of the overflowing rubbish bins and abandoned furniture as we entered the courtyard.

Worst bathroom ever

What a poor experience we had here at Cashel House B/B. The Bathroom was so bad that my lady partner refused to take a shower. I thought that the toilet itself was going to topple over. There was no soap supplied. We decided not to spent money on their breakfast after the above experience, so I cannot comment on that. We did see a coffee/tea facility in the room. In the morn they tried to charge us more money for the bathroom saying that it was an extra 20€ and not 10€. I totally refused and told the lady we had an agreement the previous day and have already paid. They also would not give me a receipt for my cash payment. So would we go back, no way. Glad when we left and went next door to the cafe at the corner for breakfast.
