Fabulous

I loved this B & B . Rooms are big enough and we had en suite. Bed was very comfortable and had great sleep. Breakfast was continental and filling . The star of the show is Liam the owner. A lovely and helpful person and nothing is Amy hassle. Very close to the village

Cancellation on arrival day and what was worse

My daughter and I were on a tour in Ireland. In the morning of the day we were supposed to stay at Slaney House we get a message from the owner that the person is ill and that we cannot stay there. There is obviously no backup policy for when that happens, so you run a big risk by booking this place. It was somewhat of a burden to have to find a solution to that problem while we were sitting in the car on the way there.
The owner did not respond to any of our subsequent messages.
The worst thing about it was not even the cancellation. The owner did not cancel, but asked us to do so in Reservation.com’s app. Had we done so, we would have paid the full amount for the cancellation. Totally unacceptable that we were asked for it! It is bad enough to cancel our Reservation on the day of arrival, but trying to wipe the bill of it off on us is really far out.
Reservation.com, however, responded well when I called them. They found something better in the area for us and paid the difference. So at least we could trust them.

Very nice B&B

Thanks a lot Liam, we enjoyed staying in your house. The room was very nice. Also the Irish breakfast was rich and tasty. In Lahinch you will find a few nice Pubs and spend a wonderfull evening. We could reach the wonderful Cliffs of Moher within very short time.

Incorrect manager

I don't like writing bad reviews but when I get ridiculed, I have to. Reservation made with a well-known site, unfortunately for health reasons it was not possible to show up that day. After contacting the manager, the reservation had been assured IN WRITING but was denied on the morning of check out. Result? I paid for the room twice the second time in cash (he couldn't…well) and without a receipt. I would like to point out that he had no obligation to confirm the room but changing his mind when leaving is incorrect. I could have looked for something else. Small room and very poor breakfast. For me, a place to absolutely avoid!

Great spot to stay on the way to Cliffs of Moher!

Compact room with tiny but serviceable bathroom! My daughter and I stayed here for a night in late August. We shared a double bed which was quite comfy. The price included brekky which was scrambled eggs, tomatoes and toast. Decent! The host Liam was lovely and suggested many places to visit.
