Great stay at Ryan's Hotel

We had a great 3 night stay at Ryan's Hotel. Room was a good size, nice and clean and overlooked the river and old mill.
The breakfast was good and we dined in the Crowe's Nest Restaurant twice and enjoyed both meals.
Would recommend for a no-frills and good value stay.

The man at the desk was lovely and helpful. The king sized bed was very comfortable - duvet was winter warm and a bit too heavy for a summer stay (but that is just a minor issue). The shower was lovely. The room was a room. Nothing special, but nothing bad. The breakfast was great. Overall, the stay was fine and only marred by the smell in the lobby, (entering I was overcome with the smell of urine). Luckily the smell did not reach the guest room. ,and it had somewhat dissipated by the morning.
We were swayed in booking by the 9.2 rating, which is honestly too high. It is a cozy hotel in a cozy town. But it is not a 9.2 stay.

Mouldy bathroom ceiling

Lovely location and nice village. We found Ryan's Hotel to be lacking the cead mile failte... arrived after a very long drive to be told no food available due to a large event on, maybe a limited menu can be offered for guests. Not sure how a room can be let out with a mouldy bathroom ceiling. Disappointed.

Disappointed and money badly spent.

Poor facilities all round, poor quality bedding and bed. The shower didn't work. Breakfast was of poor quality, very little choice.

Hospitality personified. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, room was comfortable, and the hotel bar a fine place to unwind after a full day. Cong is wonderful.
