Old world charm in abundance.

We saw this beautiful ivy covered house briefly as we headed for the ferry at Cleggan about decided we would drop in for a coffee on the way back. We subsequently decided on booking dinner for later that evening and it was a great decision.
This is every thing you would want from a country house hotel.
Eclectic antique furniture, a spectacular dining room overlooking the front lawn and lake, an interesting and tasty menu with great service. We will be back to stay.

Disappointing dinning experience

We have been in the past dining at Rosleague manor. However, our recent experience was very bad with food we were unable to eat, in fact it was was the worst fish dinner we’ve ever eaten, came in 5 inches main dish salty and certainly was NOT a fish dish , so we didn’t eat it For a 2 course meal a bottle of wine and a food you can’t eat which cost 138 euros, I think that’s a robbery

Fantastic Food, great Staff

We stayed here with a group of 7 while on a tour through Ireland‘s west. First impression: fantastic view towards the bay, very friendly staff welcoming us. Rooms were clean, beds were very good. Quiet place, yet a bit old. Then the food in the restaurant: absolutely outstanding. Worth every cent. Would always return here when in this neck of the woods. Plus (thank you Mark): very helpful detour tips for our onward journey (go via Louisburgh when continuing north). Thanks to all the team, we had a fantastic stay.

it’s hard to sum up a hotel that has it all- wonderful fairly priced food, excellent owner Mark and his team, a gorgeous house dog Jonno with a lovely manner, and an old world charm and magic . Pet friendly too. Definitely will be back …

Rosleague - what a kitchen!!

A lovely lakeside setting, very quiet. Looks a tad shabby when you pull in and the whole place could do with a scrub. The bar, their much-trumpeted "Victorian Conservatory ", is not the most relaxing atmosphere and the barmaid didn't know anything about the local beers available there. Pity to miss the chance promote the local brewery!
The food however was just outstanding! We loved the soup (I don't usually have soup), the fillet steak (SO tender!!) and excellent fish. A good wine at a decent price and the desserts were very tasty without being too showy.
They put us in a room in what was likely the old attic. A bit of a squashed ambience but it was comfortable and quiet.
Breakfast was again excellent, their (own!) fruits are superb. Try the rhubarb, perfect!
