Stayed 5 days, grounds have lots to do for everyone. Owner is lovely 10/10

Everything is top notch! Stayed for 5 days and can't recommend enough. 10/10 on everything.

Everything about the cottages were perfect. Paula and Rachel went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The kids were allowed to run around and be themselves without any restrictions within the grounds. We observed every day how tirelessly the hosts run around to make sure everything is perfect. The amount of family activities within the facilities was amazing. There were options of feeding the animals, a football pitch and basketball pitch, playground and much more. The kids loved the Den which had alot of indoor activities for when it was raining outside. I have stayed in many places but it's the first time having such a thorough step to step guide on every part of our stay (including how to put on each appliance). We will be definitely booking again.

We booked the entire place for a family reunion in June 2023

I had the pleasure of organizing a family reunion that included 3 generations with the age group from 6 months - 79 years old. I am the youngest of a large family with a background in Hotel Management so it made sense that I got the job & I also job share !
I was excited when The Decoy Cottages popped up in my google search and even more pleased after Paula contacted me following my enquiry mail.
From the quality of the website to talking with Paula we booked the entire place for the reunion in June 2023.
Paula was available to answer all my questions and I found her communications and speed 5 stars.
Because of this I booked Paula's menu for our first night ( friday night) and again having put all my trust in Paula, the food was another 5 stars. We are a foodie family and everyone enjoyed the top quality food.
The cottages are also 5 stars with the finer details all covered along side supporting local industry (Shower gel & soaps etc). I think on par or better than some Irish 5 star hotels! The beds/pillows & showers.
The site is completely child friendly and safe which meant that parents could relax and enjoy the weekend also. Along with the safety it's private with no neighbor's to keep awake as we like to chat, sing and dance, which we did to our hearts content. Whilst having the security of Paula beside us.
The welcome packs were a beautiful touch and enjoyed after some long drives from West Cork /Claire/ The West/ Midlands and the lucky ones that live in Westmeath/ Meath & myself Dublin.
Nothing was a problem and we had backup to eat inside if needed.
It was a dream weekend and most of us had a swim in the River Boyne with a great coffee afterward followed by a pint in O'Connell's pub Skryne which
is another treat.
We got catering from Navan for the second night that came recommend by Paula and again 5 star.
The weekend was superb thank you Paula & Team for making this happen. You truly run a fantastic operation from your Cottages/Food/Service and information package that cover all local activities etc. It will live in our hearts forever and hopefully we may stay in 1 of your cottages again.

Great for kids

We had a three bedroom house for three nights, very impressed with the facilities. Everything you could want in a kitchen, cosy living room with couches and a TV, and comfy beds. The heating wasn't great on the first night in one of the bedrooms, but Paula supplied a portable heater to help sort it, and we got the fire going in the living room too.
Really well set up for kids - our guy had lots of fun drawing on the blackboard in the communal den, and playing with the toy kitchen. There are a couple of llamas on site, as well as chickens, a three-legged cat and lots of birds, so plenty for small kids to watch outside.
There are plenty of things to do nearby as well - Navan has a great swimming pool, and a short walk in Balrath Woods was nice despite the rain!
Zucchini's in Navan is also highly recommended for a meal out!

Very Enjoyable Family Stay

Lovely cottages...very spacious and clean. Great for a family holiday. Paula, the owner, is very helpful, pleasant and attentive. Nice, rural location and lovely places to visit within a 30-minute radius
