This is an older property on the North side of town. The value is great for the price - just don't be expecting a high end hotel.

A great location is about the only redeeming feature.
My room was tiny and the room was above the bar that was open until 1am and the music was LOUD.

Great value stay in Dublin

My nephew and I traveled to Dublin to see Man Utd play Leeds at Croke Park. As soon as the date for the fixture was announced, I looked for a reasonably priced hotel with twin beds and was shocked at how much the majority of hotels had inflated their prices. Celtic Lodge was around the price I wanted to pay, a short walk from the train station, close to bars / restaurants and the bus to Croke Park, so I booked.
Our room was completely as expected and the cleaners had left the window open, which was a godsend on one of the hottest days / nights in Dublin. More importantly everything was really clean. WiFi worked well and the shower had good pressure.
We had breakfast included in our rate and this was exceptional. Very tasty and filling.
At all times, we were greeted in a friendly way by all members of staff and felt completely happy that we had received great value for our money.
The owner of Celtic Lodge should be very proud of his staff and of the value he provides for his guests.
My only complaint would be that the mattress was a little soft for my liking, but that’s down to personal preference.

Bit loud at night and thin walls. Decent bedroom and beds. Small bath but it works
