The auto check in was easy. The elevator was so annoying. The card was not scanning correct and there are no buttons on the elevator. Everything goes off a keypad you scan your card and it takes you to your room. But when it's not working, such as it was, everytime we had to go up an associate had to
Walk over and scan the card so we can go up. And we asked for an extra toothbrush as our luggage was lost and the desk person said something like you can buy a better one someplace else. No it's been a long day and I just want to brush my teeth! Lol. I would have insisted, especially since we paid €542 due to no rooms being available last minute, but my husband didn't want to complain. And then we found one in the room. Just super weird. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

Location: We stayed here for a Westlife concert as the hotel is close to 3Arena. It’s not in the city centre, but there are good transport options with buses and the Luas Red Line nearby. We also walked to the city centre, which took around 20 minutes.
Surroundings: Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance. We especially liked a Chinese takeaway near Tesco, about 4 minutes from the hotel, with very good food.
Room: Modern and spacious. Our room was quiet and faced the Liffey side, although the soundproofing from the hallway was not very good, and we could clearly hear people talking outside.
Bed: Very comfortable bed and great to sleep in.
Bathroom: Large and modern, but the lighting around the mirror was not bright enough for applying makeup.
Check-in: Quite chaotic. The self-check-in machines were not working, and after waiting in line, we were informed that our room will be ready in 10 mins, after that we had to queue again to collect our key card. This was a little frustrating after travelling for several hours.
Elevators: Modern system, but not very intuitive and took some time to figure out.
Service: We did not receive a refill of water and tea on our last night, which was unusual compared with other hotels we have stayed at.
Wi-Fi: Unfortunately it is unstable.
Overall: A modern hotel with a convenient location for 3Arena, spacious rooms and a very comfortable bed. However, the check-in process, soundproofing and Wi-Fi could be improved.

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay at The Samuel Hotel. Perfect location to travel around Dublin and breakfast was so tasty and so many options. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

modern and comfortable hotel in a convenient location

Modern and comfortable hotel. It has family rooms. They are not large, but they are comfortable. Very good location, there is a convenient tram nearby, as well as Uber and Lyft. There are cafes and groceries in the area, the tourist restaurants are around Temple Bar, but there are also in the two neighboring squares to the hotel. Affordable and rich breakfast for its price. The hotel's neighborhood is dominated by business buildings and offices, but it is quiet and safe. There is also a residential area in the area. You can take a walk along the river.

Beautiful hotel on the docklands of Dublin. Good location with proximity to the red line tram, great amenities, and in tip-top shape.
