Great stay in Galway - Head to MacNeills

Had a great stay at the Hardiman. Reception staff were helpful and check-in was smooth. Breakfast was very good, but we especially enjoyed our time in MacNeills and the live music and dancing made for a fantastic atmosphere.
A special mention to Vanessa, who provided excellent service throughout the evening. She was very friendly and attentive and gave us some great recommendations for local food to try.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Work trip.

No heat, water turned off twice while here & room is tired, could use a thorough cleaning. Great location & good breakfast.

Amazing hospitality at the Hardiman Hotel

The reception team led by Bradley, Rachel and Jack along with Angie on night crew lived up to the standard of Irish hospitality. Warm, welcoming and sincere; they were the point people for this hotel. Although the rooms were a bit tired the service was exemplary. (the only reason for a 4 star review) Chloe our waitress for dinner at their Pub was delightful as was the Irish band and dancers. Location was perfect to navigate Galway.

Overpriced, Unfriendly and Underwhelmed

One night stay as a part of a wider trip around Ireland,
It was the most expensive night of the trip, we paid over 350€ per room so we had high hopes for the hotel. Sadly not met.
Found the place dated, the check in team cold and dismissive - it felt like it was a bother that we were staying with them?! One of my parents struggled with the key locks on the toilets in the bar/lounge area l - have never come across that before. Didn’t help that the team member on the bar provided the wrong code! My mum had to call us to get let out of the loos! Hand driers not working in either the men’s or the ladies - so dry your hands on your jeans situation. Not what you expect staying in a +300€/night hotel!?
Ironically the team had upgraded one of the rooms for us, but didn’t mention this on check in so we didn’t even realise! The second room the bathroom was dated. Fridge in the room was boiling hot and smelt pretty bad when you opened it.
It was the worst of the 4 hotels we stayed in during our visit, that being said, Galway was a beautiful city - Will definitely visit again - but 100% won’t be staying at this hotel.
Positives:
The bathroom in our room had been recently refitted and the shower was great.
The bar underneath the hotel was beautiful - shame it wasn’t mentioned on check in. Not sure if the same business, as the team were the opposite of the ones upstairs - super helpful and friendly!
