Lovely to see the Waterford Crystal

We stayed at Diamond Hill for 2 nights, Big House room was big, there was a fridge and Micowave to use which was very helpful as well. Nice lady in charge and very helpful. Just went out for a evening meal not as good as we have had. Second day we went to Waterford Crystal it was a Sunday, we went on a tour it was so interesting to see all the crystal . I am afraid not in my price range, but everything was beautiful. Lovely cafe as well.
We went to Dunmore East round by the harbour car park looking over cliffs out to sea, it was quite hilly and many steps to get down to the harbour. On the way back we went to Passage East went on the car ferry to Ballyhack lovely ride round travelled back via New Ross back to Waterford .

Long weekend break

Myself and husband have just spent 3 nights at Dismond Hill and we would definately be happy to return. This is a beautiful bed and breakfast, spotlessly clean, spacious rooms cleaned daily. Our bathroom was dated but again spotless and everything worked and plenty of hot water. There was a bath with a shower and a glass shower panel. Benny the owner went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
Breakfast each morning was excellent with first class service. There was cereal, fresh orange, choice of cooked breakfast and toast and wheaten bread brought to the table and tea or coffee.
There is a small room with microwave and 2 fridges and toaster plus plates and cutlery should you fancy a take away meal.
I would have no worries in recommending Diamond Hill Country House.

A Shamrockin' Stay near Waterford!

This charming spot was not only sparkling clean and safe, but the breakfast was truly a pot of gold! The hosts were incredibly warm and trustworthy—I accidentally left an important item behind, and they went above and beyond to make sure it found its way back to me. Thank you Benny and team. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a bit of luck and hospitality in Killarney!

Friendly and peaceful

I stayed as part of a group visiting for a sporting event. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast was good though limited vegan options but beans on toast was a winner. It's very quiet and peaceful and nice views. The microwave and fridges in the little kitchenette room were helpful too.

Diamond Hill country house Oct 2025

We stayed as a party of 4 with 2 rooms at the Diamond Hill country house for 6 nights at the beginning of October 2025. We would like to thank Benny, family and team for there courtesy, hospitality and the relaxed friendly atmoshpher, during our stay in Ireland. The B&B is exactly what says, it is a loveley country house  surrounded by peacful countryside, and as previous posts have said, they don't claim to be the most modern posh hotel, but we think if they tried to be, it would take something away from the houses character. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have coffee, tea and kettle available, breakfast is really good, and sets you up for the day. There is a local pub the Miler about 50 yards away , where we were made welcome by the staff and locals. Waterford is not a great distance away and easly reached by bus, which stops opposite the B&B, but the last bus back from Waterford is about 19.30 and the taxis are a little expensive, depending on what your used to paying for about 2.8 km, (we haggled a couple of times before getting in the taxi and they reduced the fare) ( its worth looking at getting a Leap card if you plan to use the bus a lot) but we even walked to waterford during our stay visiting a couple of  churches on the way, then bused back. If don't you want to eat out every day, there is an Aldi a little way down the road to buy meals, which can be put in the fridge and Microwaved in the guests kitchen at the B&B. Again thank you Benny, family and team for making us really welcome during our stay
