I had a wonderful stay here and was genuinely impressed by how comfortable and well-designed the capsules were. They felt private, cozy and surprisingly spacious, a perfect little place to retreat and recharge after long days exploring Iceland. Everything was clean and well organized, and I slept very well. A unique experience that I would happily choose again!

AVOID IT!!!

Hostel run by two unbearable elderly Poles! Presumptuous, arrogant, control freaks, rude, surly, impolite, invasive, intolerant. They are always breathing down your neck; the only thing missing was them coming in to see how we were taking a shower. They even wanted to teach us how to use a sponge to wash dishes. Obsessive! The kitchen is microscopic and is not capable of allowing large groups to cook. The power to charge phones does not work in the capsules. No space for suitcases. IF you can GO ELSEWHERE!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A DISGRACE. THE WORST STAY OF MY LIFE.

I have sincerely never had such an unpleasant experience in an accommodation. Everything is done to ensure you have a bad stay.
The famous pods are a disaster: you can hear absolutely everything. No comfort, no privacy, no tranquility. And at 10 p.m., total silence. So after a day of activities, you come back and you don't even have the right to talk normally anymore. You really get the impression of being in an establishment where the simple act of living normally is a bother.
The common areas are just as pathetic. Impossible to settle in quietly, impossible to really enjoy the place. In the end, you pay to feel like you are constantly being constrained and watched.
And then, the managers... probably the worst part of the experience. Cold, unpleasant, authoritarian, and absolutely not welcoming. The language barrier could be understandable if they themselves made the slightest effort to communicate. But no. No effort, no patience, no desire to understand. We felt more like we were bothering them than anything else.
Tourist accommodation is supposed to welcome travelers, not make them feel like they have to apologize for being there.
We paid for a stay and we were treated to stress, discomfort, and constant restrictions. At no point did we feel welcome.
I would recommend against this place without the slightest hesitation. If you have the choice between this establishment and any other option, take the other option. You will probably have more comfort, more freedom, and above all, much less chance of regretting your reservation.
A disastrous experience from beginning to end. For us, this stay was completely ruined. Zero comfort, zero friendliness, zero effort on the part of the managers. Avoid at all costs.

Private place to sleep at a reasonable price

Staying in pods is definitely an interesting experience! As a place to sleep, it is totally adequate. The pods are reasonably comfortable and felt very private/safe. The hostel is minimally staffed--so you have to prearrange everything (like renting towels). Also, there was not a secure place to store luggage (there were lockers, but they weren't working while we were there). Folks either put their luggage in their pod or left it along the wall. Obviously hostels tend to rely on folks being respectful of other people's stuff/space, but it would have been nice to be able to put our larger suitcase in a more secure spot. If you are traveling light and just need a place to sleep--this is a good option.
