Excellent property

We stayed here just one night (two rooms) on our ring road trip. Glad we did. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms (while on the small side) were clean, renovated, and functional with nice beds and pillows. The restaurant was one of the best meals we had (get the Cod!) and breakfast was excellent. For the price this was the best stay on our 10 day trip. Highly recommend.

Clean and comfortable

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a typical European style with beans added for the Canadians and British guests. The beds are comfortable if like a firm mattress. My only issue was the shower was a wet room style and the floor wasn’t angled enough towards the drain but this is their problem since they have to clean up my water mess.

Such a beautiful hotel with a quaint and cozy feeling. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Basic things don't work!

Namely hot water and heating in the bathroom: The water of the shower remained freezing cold even after 10 minutes waiting with a very short, very hot tree up. The bathroom was barefoot and (before showering) little clothed inaccessible without getting goose bumps! Furthermore, the rooms are very clairvoyant, without earplugs brought by themselves would not have been thought of sleep.
The friendliness of the staff is very expandable, the communication is limited to what is extremely necessary, without "please", "thank you", "hello" or similar.
Positive are actually only the (reasonably) comfortable bed and the selection at the breakfast buffet to mention.
Overall, the hotel looks extremely cheap (built) and is definitely not worthy of a 4 star!
