Rented 3 rooms for 6 people. The rooms were comfortable and well outfitted. Not super fond of the quarter-circle doors in the shower but they worked. The breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent, as were the desk and bar staff. Really friendly people. Lovely place

We were delighted by our experience at Stracta. Glad we upgraded to the room with the fridge/microwave as we were there 4 nights and made good use of the “kitchen.” Bed and linens were extremely comfortable. Loved the shower!! The front desk staff were lovely. The breakfast buffet is diverse and delicious. We had one dinner in the restaurant which was also very good. The location is so convenient to much of the most popular attractions in Iceland. It’s a huge hotel but feels very intimate.

Fantastic hotel with hot tub and sauna. The rooms were big and nice. Best hotel that we stayed in. Huge breakfast buffet.

Fantastic first stop for our Ring road adventure. Wish we planned to stay a night longer!

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was above average with multiple choices. We also enjoyed the hot tub and saunas. Negatives are that there are limited restaurant choices in the immediate area (need to travel 10-30 minutes for better selections) and the front desk girl was not pleasant. Acted like she did not want to be there. Witnessed her being short with multiple customers and negative attitude was consistent during our multiple night stay. Will try to stay in Selfoss or Vik area next time. The American SchoolBus Cafe was definitely worth a stop if you are passing through Hella.
