Must stay
Very comfortable hotel in an outstanding location. Best of all, the staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful.

Beautiful hotel.
This is a beautiful hotel. It is in a great location in downtown Reykjavik making it convenient as a home base for excursions. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean. I especially appreciated the nice selection of shampoo, conditioner, and body washes stocked in the room. I stayed at another hotel owned by the same group during my visit and I enjoyed my stay here much more. Since I was traveling solo, my room was on the smaller side, but it wasn't a problem for me. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no way of controlling the temperature in the room and it tended to stay warm, and the window could only be cracked open a small amount. There was a portable fan in the room, but I didn't set it up; that might have helped. It's a little on the pricier side, but it's worth it for the comfort level.

Great centrally located hotel that won't disappoint.
Lovely room, clean and bed was comfortable. Hotel is so central and handy for Reykjavik. Would highly recommend staying at Hotel Borg, this was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. Staff were friendly and professional. I felt it was value for money. Love the Artdeco vibe of the hotel.
Communications before arriving especially when organising tours via the Tour Desk was excellent. We had all our tours arranged and setup before we arrived.
Only gripe was when one goes for Breakfast, which is lovely also, the time it takes to get a Coffee is way too long, you're almost finish your breakfast when it arrives. I would suggest a faster means to make coffees in the morning for customers.

Great location
We loved this hotel. Room was spacious and they offer a fan of it gets warm. Our room opened onto a balcony where locals seems to gather for early evening jazz concerts. Was quite lovely. Hotel opens to a square where the sunny side has numerous outdoor seating for drinking and there seemed to be impromptu dancing. Well located for all areas of the city.
Only drawback is the single elevator for each part of the hotel also shared with staff coming from floor -1.

Second time here - love the location, helpful staff and condition of the property with nice rooms. Biggest disappointment this time was the breakfast for which we paid extra - served in sterile ballroom with meager selections. Went next door to Apotek Hotel for much better breakfast at same price! Also had dinner there night prior and really liked it!
